Lulu is starting off the day in the blue AMPS, that`s good enough for me. After so few pokes the last few days, she`s not at all impressed that they`re coming again. In fact, someone tried to break the BG meter...found it this a.m. on the floor with the battery door open. I`m going to have to make sure I put it away. It`s possible that someone wanted a treat and associate the meter with a treat.
Anyway, I have to push myself out the door to get some groceries today, my appetite is coming back and no food in the house!

I'm glad to hear that you are getting better each day. Having your appetite back is definitely a good sign!!

LOL @ Lulu trying to break the meter. She wants the treats but not the pokes. Glad to see she is starting to get back to the good numbers after her "little vacation" away from pokes. Hopefully she will start to show the good numbers she had before. Sending lots of positive vines for both of you.. :bighug:
 
I had to laugh at trying to break the meter. I hope it still works okay. I dropped mine once and it started acting up. I had to get a new one. I'm glad you're feeling better. Lulu is looking good.

Looks like got tired of its present home and now has decided to move on. BIG-BE-GONE! and stay gone!

Thanks, Mary Ann, Carla and Paula. When I said I had to go shopping for food because there is none in the house, what I do have plenty of is...cat food. Lol, I`m sure a lot of us ensure we never run out of food for our fur babies. While shopping, I stopped off at Tailblazer`s and picked up some Orijen Wild Boar freeze dried treats, simply cannot run out of those. The owner gave me a sample of Stella & Chewy`s, said it was similar to the Wild Boar, all natural ingredients. When I got home, I had three pair of pointy ears, three curious noses, and endless whiskers surrounding this plastic baggy of this new treat, so I gave them some...they LOVED it, wolfed it down and wanted more. Then I realized it`s actually freeze-dried food which can either be served rehydrated or as is. Oh well...whatever works .

Too funny on the meter. I just got syringes today and noticed Safeway has a sale on Aviva meters and strips. Never hurts to have a backup meter.

What flavour of Stella and Chewy's did you buy? Always good to have treat options.
 
I do have two backup meters...another Accu-chek and Bayer. These companies are currently offering free meters to Canadians with the purchase of strips (except Bayer sends meter, 10 strips and some lancets just for asking online). Shhh...don`t tell...but a friend has gotten me the extra Accu-chek meter. I`ve heard our U.S. friends cannot avail themselves of these same offers, unfortunately.

It was just a sample to try of Stella and Chewy's, the owner (great marketer) keeps giving me these samples to try, so now he has a die-hard customer. It was the duck flavor. But this silly girly didn`t like the pill pocket duck & pea, perhaps she could smell that gross pill inside.

I put a little Stella and Chewy's on Max's canned food often. Which flavor did you get? I started with Chicken but the stores ran out and I got two bags of turkey. I think he's getting tired of it so I need more chicken.
 
I`m pretty sure he said it was the Duck. He gave me a sample in a baggie with a Stella & Chewy`s card stapled to it, but the card didn`t indicate the flavour. But he had written a D on it, so I`m sure that`s what it was. I checked out their website to get a better idea what the food ingredients were and was happy. Thanks for the tip, Elise, I`m going to start sprinkling some of this on my kitties` food when they`re being finicky.
 
The vet on the yahoo lymphoma list who many of us go to with all kinds of questions not related to lymphoma suggested I feed it to Max exclusively. I've been afraid to switch over completely but feel good about using it as a topper and sometimes Imrehydtare it and feed it by itself. I haven't bought the duck mostly because I think it might contain more fat and while Max's pancreatitis doesn't require a low fat diet I don't want to go higher. Lulu is looking good tonight but I do like the 68 better than the 45. Surf now Lulu.
 
Ah, no surf for Lulu, up in the yellow for her PMPS, I only took the one test after her AM shot. I`m sure she`ll do some good surfing once she`s been back to her normal dose for a few more cycles.
As for the food, I`m going over to Tailblazers again within the next few days and see what else they have under the Stella & Chewy`s brand.
 
The sell them in individual packets or 12 oz bags. The individuals are too expensive. It comes in duck, chicken, turkey, and salmon.
 
Haha, Shadow, you are so bad!! Caughtcha before Lulu saw this, but all the toilet bowls are down in my house.

Some kitties in this house like to dip their paws in the water...ewwww. Shouldn't gross me out since they scratch in litter boxes throughout the day, but it still does.

is me Shadow, she only tinks I not see dis. I just waitin for day when toilet lid left up....then PLOP, teehee.:cat:
