Where'd this big YELLOW toad come from? He just keeps squattin' up there and refuses to come down....poked a fat 2.25 this morning hoping to change that color. At least it's not pink today....
Schniggles (rescued elderly pug) sends Grams hugs - she's doing so well. Now that her muscles have rebuilt, we've discovered that she does have bad past injuries to her hips as well as a break in one leg that was never properly treated. Her ACL is torn almost completely too - all this is why she walks 'stumbly' and sometimes just has to stop and sit down....and I forgot the luxated patellas on both back legs. She's SO SO happy all the time - it warms my heart each time I see her wiggle all over and make her funny 'schniggle' sounds...I know that, regardless of what he!l she might have been thru in her past, rest of her life will be happy.
I'M SICK OF CUCUMBERS! Actually I'm sick of making pickles too...my one vine is giving me 5-8 every day with probably 75-100 more starting to grow. My tomatoes are FINALLY ripening - it got too hot and I didn't have the roots mulched well so they just sat there green.
My kitchen cabinets have KNOBS! Got all the lowers repainted with one final semi gloss coat then put knobs on. We've used the dishwasher twice already! I chose the backsplash tile last night...gonna go with metallic black/silver glass. One small wall will have a stainless sheet covering it interspersed with small black tiles. Hard to imagine huh....
How about a photobucket today? How about another 'memory' plant! This original plant was given to my grandmother many years ago by a 'wanna be' boyfriend...she kept the plant, didn't keep the guy. All of us have parts of the original plant rizones- it's probably 65 years old. We call them 'Nut Orchids' but there are several names. I shared some with my 'adopted Mama' 2 doors down - she loved them, got on the internet and found pink ones too. The blooms look the same but their habit is just a bit different.
