Happy Caterday LL!

Daphne numbers are a bit strange. I am thinking the last bottle of strips were off. I started the new bottle with a +6 50. So I checked for accuracy with my Bayer meter and they seem to be accurate. Since Daphne had a little "higher then her" usual, the last few weeks @ this dose, I'm wondering if the last bottle of strips were off. So now we are getting low numbers again. I'm not complaining, just curious as to what is going on. It may have just been that dosecrease I threatened her with a few days ago, I know how well that works here in LL. So I will do extra tests to make sure she is safe. The one dumb things that I thougth was, that one small drop could not bring her down so much  . So I tested less often. So, thank you Libby and Sienne for bringing it to my attention. Daphne has been very unhappy with me when I test too much, so I was giving her ears a break. OK Daphne, sorry baby, but you need to be safe, so a few extra pokes for a bit.

Sending healing vines to all the kitties and bean who may need them today.

Happy Caturday to you too, Barb and Daphne! Look at those gorgeous greens Daphne! Now just ride them out. Stay safe and don't give your mamabean a hard time about the extra pokes. They're important to keeping you happy and healthy!

You did well, and sorry Daphne, you need tests & pokeys! Barb I usually test Moonie more if she is less than 150, as I know she may drop..Good catch! Hugs & Love from us!!

It is amazing what that one drop can do. Then again, her pancreas is functioning. Just need a little bit more!

Thanks Reagan, as you request, she just rode them all morning.

Roni, thanks for the tip. Daphne's a very flat cat, so I guess I can get pretty complacent. (It figures we are low on strips, will get more tomorrow). I have the Bayer if needed.

Thanks for visiting Liz, I hope you are feeling better. Did you ever find out if it was food poisoning? And yes, I know her pancreas is working, but its so amazing, that little drop is so important yet.

We went off schedule today, we are always so good about it. DH thought I was getting up today, and I thought he was.

Have a great weekend LL, and Happy Father's Day to all the beans out there with kitties or kids.

Daphne is looking really great today, Barb. I know with the pokes. Mags is starting to jerk away just as I start to get the sample. I try at times to give her a break, too. I love all of Daphne's greens. Have a good and restful night.

Gorgeous day for Daphne, as usual! It is amazing what one little drop of juice can do. I know what you mean about giving their little ears a break....when I see Trix is up and staying up, I definitely back off the testing, just to give us both a break. Granted this is not something I would have done last year, when she was a new(er) diabetic, but now that I have lots of data on her, I do give her a breather at times. It's a balancing act.

I hope you guys got some deck time in today...it was gorgeous here! I was beginning we'd never be able to say that!!

I always try avoid poking Rosy. During the AM time when she is constantly having food, I did a nadir only unless she is having a low 50s. It is during the PM (night) when food is not available that I am more worried of a hypo.
You might have noticed Barb, I am a bad CG. I poke little.
After the last test of the day, I applied a tiny bit of aloe vera to the edge of her ear. The cooling & soothing does help her ear to heal.
