Well, my human is confused about what to do this morning. He woke up, and took my blood sugar. It was 80. He doesn't feel comfortable shooting below 100, so he figure he would feed me, wait a couple of hours, and see what happened.

So he fed me, and even gave me some of the crunchies! He figured this was good for a 50-75 point spike in my blood sugar. He took it two hours later, and it was 88. So that is a ten percent jump off the initial reading, but he doesn't feel comfortable hitting me with a full dose unless I am over 100. Yes, he knows you say it's okay, the shed is draining, but it's just not something he is comfortable with.

He is thinking he should do one of three things:
Get another blood sugar reading at 11, and then see whether to administer the insulin
Give me a half dose now
Skip this dose

What do you kind humans think?

I have to log off because I'm at work and am now over my time limit for internet usage, but if you are going to be home to monitor and have supplies and can afford to be off schedule by 2 hours or whatever time it is when you decide to shoot, then go ahead and give a half dose. Otherwise, I would skip and check his +23 and maybe dose then.

Gotta go, sorry. Those are my thoughts.

Okay, so he gave me three units at around 10:30. He will make a couple of checks between now and 7 PM.

This is me right now, so he doesn't think that he has to worry about my blood sugar going too low. I even mounted Jacey to show her who is boss!
