Good Morning LL! Marine layer is in this morning with a little drizzle, the only moisture we'll see till fall. Ann is still in bed, catching up on her sleep. She leaves for LA in a couple of hours for a bonsai workshop. She will be back Sunday, so DH is the BIC this weekend.

WCR All 5 Ps this morning, and Clean Plate Club just established. She is close to green, so looks like bounce is over.

Re: 6/15 Tess AMPS~109

Hi guys .. no more rain till fall? Eeekss! This is a beautiful start to the day and I'm sure tess can't wait for her momma bean to get up and see it :-D Have a great weekend guys!

Re: 6/15 Tess AMPS~109

Nice start for Tess! So nice of you to let Ann rest. She is going to need it with her trip. Hope you all have a great day!

Re: 6/15 Tess AMPS~109

Holy Cow John, no rain until Fall? As much as I complain about rain for days on end, the drought would be worse. No cooling moisture to count on.
I've always wanted to ask, but didn't want to show my ignorance....is marine layer, the same thing as fog?

Miss Tess, are you wearing your little green dress yet? :-D

Oops , is that you Ann? :-D

   Tess is gonna keep daddybean close while mamabean is away! Added a drop of honey to breffis 2, to slow this drop.

Sorry I have been so absent and will be for the weekend, lots of prep for LA. Tess was in several times to see what was up w/ the bean this morning, so much for sleeping!   A couple of meow, meow, meow visits, then when that failed zoom-zoom across the bed!

Barb, yes the Marine Layer is for. There is a big bank that permanently hangs off shore here. They say ML to distinguish form heavy ground fog, which we can also get. But it does keep things cool here most of the summer, usually in the low 70s. You can just feel the moisture dry up as you go inland across the mountains and the temps are 25º to 35º higher there.

I'll try to get on my friend's computer tonight, unfortunately no wifi!

Nice day for Tess. Good job John. Ann, have a good workshop. Rusty and the gang will make sure that Tess doesn't do anything wild in NYC this weekend!

Tess had a nice swim in the green lagoon today. She is taking a break now on my lap and singing blue bayou. Hope it's just a little blip.

Barb & Devon, the California coast south of San Francisco sees no rain from May until about October. It was a shock for a farm boy from the midwest when we moved here 15 years ago. I got here in January and the last rain that year was end of February. No rain again until October. It was an el Nino year, and we got 48 inches that winter. Normal rainfall is about 15 inches, but varies quite a bit, usually 8 to 20 inches. But only from October thru April. Summers are dry. We have two seasons here, fire and flood. That's why we collect rainwater in the winter and use it through the summer to water our bonsai.
