Good morning Sox continues to have nice blue and is still getting his tiny meals but don`t seem to be helping with the ps any advice to get them to drop a bit....through last night

I think he's just not getting enough duration out of the Lantus, Kath. He's got nice blue nadirs at the moment, but it runs out of steam before the 12 hours are up. Some cats get as few as 8 hours of duration from Lantus - some get 12 hours, but it looks like it just doesn't last quite long enough in him.

How much more does your sister have stocked up? I'm wondering about the possibility of trying him on Levemir whenever she runs out of Lantus. In theory, it also has a roughly 12 hour duration in most cats but I have seen some cats do better on lev if they couldn't get good control on Lantus.

It's good to see he had a yellow pmps tonight! Maybe the 2.75u is going to be a better dose for him.
 
Julie thank you for input Sox has 3 more vials of Lantus but we will keep Levemir in mind.....Sox is doing beautiful this morning and since pmps last night.Hugssssssssssss Kath
