Yesterday, bounce day.

6/14 Recap:
AMPS 162 +7 230
PMPS 142 +9 138

Neko is notable for her purrs today. :joyful::joyful::joyful: She did a spontaneous loud purr when she was on her memory foam bed waiting for Otto, and while I was eating breakfast. She burst into purr as soon as I started her acupressure. She came into the bathroom when I stopped the shower and did the flop, drop and roll exposing tummy for rubs and purrs. When DH and I got back from a trip to the recycling centre, she did the drop, flop, roll on the bedroom rug. Right now she's got a serious grooming session going. Why do I know that? Because it's sunny and she's not in the solarium! :stop: Stop the presses! No it's not serious. The fencers are here and they decided to set up the air compressor in the carport, right below the solarium.

Another hot, dry day here. I got a whiff of woodsmoke while we were on the water today, but it didn't last. Maybe it was some fool running their fireplace and sending sparks into the air.

Sending vines to kitties and beans in need.

These kitties sure do like their tummies rubbed. :cat:I hope there is no forest fire that you smelled. Some people are so callous with fire.

I agree - the smell of smoke in the summer means trouble.

Love that Neko is especially purry today. Nothing makes you feel better than a purring kitty, unless it's a purring kitty in your lap!

Glad to hear that Neko is feeling so good.
Are you putting up a fence to blot out the activity in the property behind yours?

Bummer on a possible fire. Are campfires permitted in your present drought?

Have a good evening,

Neko is ever the tease with that 100. I went out to do some gardening, and came back in to find Neko on DH's lap. :)

Peg, Liz, Tricia, Carla, Marilyn, Ella, Patricia - Thanks for stopping in. I love it when Neko is extra affectionate. :joyful: I didn't hear any thing more about a fire today, so am hoping the smell was a non event. Just worrisome after seeing firefighters hosing down the small island yesterday. Open fires are banned here. Unfortunately, campfires are still permitted. The fence was finished today - I still have to go back and patrol that they cleaned up everything. This is a replacement fence for the one that the new neighbor tore down so he could have a retaining wall put in. We've been without a fence back there for several months now.

There's no sweeter sound than a kitty's purr. Neko sounds like she was an extra lovey-dovey sweetheart today:cat:

i'd like to hear some purring..... (heck, i'd like to hear ... period....)

we have a website that tells about fire locations and status updates.... wonder if you might have something like that. If you know any firefighters
they can tell you.... or you can just hunt on internet.
I spent most of my days on this sight with the maps and info since we've had so many fires in the last decade.
It's nice to know the daily spread... and locations..... etc.....

looks like Neko is posed for greatness tonight....

i figured there was something there....

our evacuation about 5 years ago... we found someone's blog with live video....
some guy who refused to leave.... drove around and video'd the town... the activity... the smoke....
he was a wannabe storm chaser ...
but it was still interesting to watch....

i spent a few days in a hotel with Shadow laying on my feet under the sheets in a hotel.... so had to find something entertaining to watch on laptop....
it was her only spot for comfort being away from home.... stuck in a hotel.
