? 6/15 Max - time to increase dose? PS are high 400s and up, few lows dipping to 300s but not long

Been holding with SLGS and while it's been killing me to see Max so high, I have been testing for ketones when I can catch him peeing (only a few times, but all have been negative as far as I can tell with the CVS stips I have). Feeding 0-2% carbs, and allowing him to eat when he 'requests' it but I cut him off at the two-hour mark before testing, if need be. Today starts day 7 of him at 0.25U, but I just haven't seen him come down enough after his bounce to feel comfortable holding him this high.

Can I go ahead and increase his morning shot to 0.5U now (of course that will depend on AMPS #, but I expect it to be in the mid to high 400s). He has dropped into the low 300s, mainly seen on the graphs I get from the Libre, but he doesn't stay very long (doing my best to include those numbers on the SS even if they aren't readings I took).

Now you hold for a week and then do a curve. Info is on the SLGS sticky. If you get a test under 90 before that you decrease. If not sure what to do after the curve ask for dosing advice. I posted all my test results each day so more eyes were on my Max. Great name btw.

By the way, if you decide you don't like holding him in high numbers so long, and as long as you have the Libre on, your probably could switch to TR for a while. You aren't stuck in one dosing method if circumstances change for you.

Cats can go one of two ways with increases. Sometimes cats will give you a sneak peak at what the new dose will do in the first or second cycle. For some, they get New Dose Wonkiness, which is temporary higher numbers as the depot rebuilds. Cats are often unpredictable.
