What a great day yesterday for Mannie! It was a blue and a green day, nice ps numbers, nice cycles! It has been a while since I have had a 40 number :shock: , or had to use gravy to control a cycle :shock: . the 58 @ +8 was a bit of a surprise :shock: , and since I needed to leave then I ended up feeding Mannie an 18% food, with a drop of karo. Wasn't my favorite thing to do when it isn't completely necessary, but wanted to be sure he would be safe... It worked out, I came home to a 150. :cool: The rest of the day was spent surfing the blues, well until that +6 :? . Job Well done Mannie! cat_pet_icon We seem to have bounced a little this AM......

All is well in MannieLand. :-D Mannie is pooped after a day of testing... He is so very patient when we have days like yesterday - never complains, or refuses a test. :cool: He takes it all in stride, comes to his testing spot, lets me do my thing. :razz: I am ever so grateful for that. :-D I did get a chuckle though when it comes to the end of the day - those tests were greeted with heavy sighs, visible sighs, no purrs, yet still no complaints. Mannie you rock! And his source of comfort during all these pokies? well duh... off to the nanner pile. yesterday he made a bed out of them.

Have a great day everyone! Today I begin DGS sitting duties through Friday. I hope to visit condos, but probably not until the evening. I am sorry to I missed so many of you last night. I had sat down to visit, and my 'puter froze on me :evil: , I ended up with corrupted files :evil: :evil: , all of which had to be fixed :evil: :evil: :evil: ... what a pain.... sorry not to be able to say HI. Do know that I am thinking of you all, and your furkids. Think green kitties!

OK KITTIES!!!! The day is here! Our full moon party: red full moon, strawberry full moon - I dunno.... my bean says it is both... well OK then. We are so lucky - we get to go to Gracie's!! In the desert! What a better place to be for yowling and howling at the moon. We can build a campfire, and grill and roast all kinds of things! It is a full lunar eclipse today too - my bean says the moon will look really funny - all dark and red and stuff. so..... I tried really hard to make our party fuds fit the mood, ya know? so - yeah... here we go:

Hey Mannie! I am ready to roll buddy. Yesterday was a busy day but today is all about the full moon. I have been practicing my howling. Owwwwww!!! Owwwwww!!! Not very good but I will get there. The menu looks awesome.

The strawberry moon. We bought some fresh farmer's strawberries yesterday: they are delicious!

Hi Michelle, yes Mannine Nanner sure did have a nice day yesterday, and I'm sure he will come down today. I know you will enjoy your DGS. I am amazed, too, at how patient our kitties are with the poke and shot. Maggie always cooperates, bless her heart, even though I know she's not in the mood for a poke.

Wow, Mannie, you sure have outdone yourself with the menu! I will think of something to bring. Can't wait to go to Gracie's to see the Red Moon. I'm all packed since 2 am Cali time and will wait for you to picks me up, Maggie

Nice cycles yesterday....and a little bounce today. I am sure he will clear that soon in typical Mannie fashion. ;-) Glad he had his nanners for comfort, too cute :lol: Don't ya just love the sighs? I get those alot from Zoe...like really, we're doing this again?? :roll: ;-) :lol: :lol: She doesn't cooperate quite as good as Mannie, but we manage. ;-) Have a great day with DGS....sorry about the computer issues... :evil: :evil: I hate when that happens.

Hi Ella - yep. I did expect that 358 this morning - he started up after his +2 last night: knew it was coming. He is clearing it this morning, so OK I guess. Thx on Nicholas. We had rain this AM, but it is clearing now, so I think we will be good to go. There is a low tide (-2.9), so I hope we can find some starfish to show him. Tuesday when I was there I found a river otter rolling in the sand, playing on the shoreline. Maybe we will get lucky and be able to see him again. YUM on those strawberries!

Hi Iorwen - that he is. It is just so nice that he takes it all in stride. Phew! and an oh yes on the corrupted files - all fixed now,until it happens again: an ongoing problem here. I so need a new 'puter....

Hi Ann, and Miss Maggie - Thanks, and he has already found the blues again. YAY!, and GO Mannie! Isn't it great when these kitties are so patient with us? especially when we mess up and have to poke twice? Sounds like Maggie is very good about it too. They must know we are trying to help them.

Never one to mess around that one.... and yes on the sighs - they do make me smile, and sometimes laugh. it is like you said: really, and again? and thx on the 'puter thing. i hate it too.... had the night mapped out, it had other ideas... oh well. one of these days I will buy a new one, one that is more capable of handling all that I ask of it... this one is 10 years old, and very very tired....

Zoe - YES!! Paw-tay! I hope so too on Punkin and Tessie Lou. I have a special spot on the bus, so they can just relax when we travel. Its got lots of fleece and everything! I hope they can make it. See you soon! ~~ Mannie

Boy oh boy!!! When Mannie decides to descend, he doesn't waste any time!!! :shock: I hope his evening cycle isn't quite as dramatic so his liver doesn't do a "WTH!!" and, well, ya know!!

Hi Ann - that he did: green lagoon, and the rainbow - we can just paint shop the other color... :lol: DGS and I did head down to the shore, did find the otter, hiding in the rocks. ranger there thinks he's a pup, waiting on shore while mom hunts. Guess they do that?

Hi Patty - That is true - a little fast, and a rad bit reminiscent of his signature diving days. :roll: :lol: and yes - paws crossed on the "you know".

Tess - you are on!!! Green lagoon for a dip or two before prep. HOORAY!, and I am so there.... :cool: :cool:

138 @ +1... well... looks like the carbs kicked in. :-D :-D I switched to a 3% LC for this mini meal, and will test again at Mannie's normal +2 mini meal.

Hi Barb - thanks, you are too kind. I am happy for Mannie, overall, he's been through alot, all our kitties have. It is just nice to watch when they finally begin to figure it out, whether on a drop, or mega units, or on the verge of trial. It is fun to watch their day unfold, smile when good things happen, cringe when the results are less than stellar. It kinda makes it all worth while - what we all go through every day for our furkids. well your welcome on checks - it is a great story. so so glad to see it happen. I remember when he posted reds daily, and all those pinks.... not any more Checks: you've done good!



Mannie and I are saddened to learn of the passing of Tessie Lou - so sudden, so unexpected. Fly free little one - you will never be forgotten, and always missed.

Mannie....Daddybean also grilled us some ground squirrel kebabs with prickly pear chutney since you and Tobey caught those ground squirrels!! YUM YUM....I love ground squirrels!!! And we shall honor Tessie Lou tonight....we will all miss her and we are so sad that she has left us. But she will join the other GAs where there is no pain or sickness.

HI Marje - thx on the hootin'. For whatever reason tonight when I shot that dose it took me back to my first green pmps. It was an 88 I think, and nervous as all get out.... now I don't even think twice when I see those greens ones. We look at the +10, +11 in relation to the PS, and the cycle overall, decide on a food, and off we go... and YES on yesterday - it as a busy one for both of us, what a set of numbers!!, and I still made the DT Seattle trip. almost didn't go - guess I have more confidence in the numbers and the fuds. and a definitive uh no.... on adding a drop. He really doesn't need it. it's as if the off cycles are rest ones for him, then back to business. -- and yep, a little busy today too, but we still made out, DGS and I. went to the shore again, He loves it so much down there, why not! Added benefit: packing him in and out sure does give me a workout.... :lol: :lol:

Oh another friend gone. But we can see her to the veil tonight and watch as she rejoins all our old friends. We will miss her, but she will be healthy at the Bridge. I'm glad we will all be together tonight. -- Tess

I'm glad, too. Tessie Lou is with all of our GA friends and she is smiling through the veil at us. We miss you Tessie Lou, but we're happy that you are free of sickness. We'll take good care of your family.
