Yesterday's HC gorgefest.

6/13 Recap:
AMPS 107 +6 65:D +8 50:D +10 61:D
PMPS 81 +5 215o_O

Note to self after yesterday's dip into the deep end of the lagoon early in the cycle, buy some lower phosphorus HC. No good changing just her regular LC to low phosphorus, especially if she needs 3/4 of a can of the evil stuff to boost her up.

Neko is up to her usual tricks, lying stretched out flat on the floor under the table in the toasty solarium. Hold the presses, she just came inside the kitchen to cool off. Either that or she smells the brisket DH put in the oven.:p

Another sunny day here. As much as I love the ongoing sunshine, the gardens and forest near us could really use some water. I was out on the water with our recreational rowers today (DH coaches) and we passed a local small island dotted with firefighters mopping up the last of a brush fire.

I had to look hard to find a suitable low Phos MC and HC for Sheba. I settled on Weruva pumpkin lickin chicken for MC 12% carb and .77 DM and chick magnet for Higher carb 16% and .67 DM. Both pouches. I haven't been able to find a high carb one so I just add the honey when needed.
Good luck is your quest for low phos HC food.

Hi Wendy!
I think FirstMate might be mid-carbs with acceptable phos, but I could be wrong....
I tried to locate the memo I took when I called the company, but can't find it.
The sales rep of this company was quite open and ready to give out the info.
It was nice chatting with you yesterday, and I'm sorry I had to cut it short....
I found out that the sushi place I was picking up closes at 8:30pm , incredibly early for a downtown restaurant.

Talk to you soon! I hope Neko is doing good!

I'm betting brisket!

Northern part of the state gets a fair share of human caused fires. Drought conditions plus fools. Bad combo. We see more of the lightening strike fire down here. Some pretty chokefilled days every summer.

Hey, Neko. Save me some brisket. I'm getting my appy back. -- Polly

Looks like a little bounce action today. Can't say that was a surprise.

Liz, Bron, Marilyn, Mariko, Peg - Thanks for visiting. I do have a Weruva Love Me Tender pouch (17% carbs, phos .82DM) a Grandma's Chicken Soup (21% carbs and .77DM) but yesterday I wanted to go with a known thing in terms of what would bring Neko up and for how long, since I was going to be in and out. But I really need to look further afield for supplies. I've looked for and couldn't find the Chick Magnet before.
@mariko - First Mate headquarters are in Deep Cove, so pretty close if I wanted to stop in some time. Their canned food has potato in it, which is what makes Merck Cowboy Cookout HC for Neko.

Good luck with the low phos search and I hope Neko gets off the trampoline soon! I realized recently the only food Noodle will reliably eat is pretty high phos, too, add that to the list of kitty projects, haha.

I'm with Marilyn, I bet the aroma of the brisket lured Neko in! :joyful::joyful: Too hot for the oven today-I made DH go out and bbq some hamburgers. We really really need some rain down here too- I worry for our forests- otherwise the risk of forest fires will become a reality! :nailbiting:

I am surprised to see that I can get First Mate down here, now why the heck can't I get T.C. Feline the special one for low phosphorus!!!:rolleyes:...:rolleyes: Have you tried Soulistic? Good Kharma is 19% and no fish and no funny stuff, except it does have xanthem gum, which I don't know if it's as bad as carageenen and agar agar or not.

Looks like Neko was keeping Cinco company in the blue grotto today. He's been there long enough to put down roots.

I think it was the brisket, too. I know that would bring me into the kitchen!! :p

I hear you on the rain - we need it so desperately here. With all the wind we have, we are fire waiting to happen. There have been two large grass fires on the hills near our house in the past week or so. I'm hoping that the marsh that lies between those hills and our subdivision will keep us safe, but you never know....

addiction brushtail had potato in it but it was in cubes so it was really easy for me to pull it all out .

we've actually been getting enough rain as of late this year.... no fires so far. We had a decade of major massive fires in NM.
twice in my town....:nailbiting:
fire season is always difficult to watch.... and helicopters overhead is like pts .
We'll probably be watching CA burn next with their problems.

I'm betting on the brisket too....
I come eat at yur house Neko... I love briskets.. much better dan this stinky cat fud. Shadow

Hope you manage to source the right mix of HC low phos food for Neko, did she get any of the brisket as a treat? Sorry to hear about you are all having drought/fire problems, must be a real worry. I must remember not to moan every time it rains here, which it has a lot lately, when you consider the alternatives. Sending heaps of rain vines to all in need.

Weruva chick magnet pouch is part of the cats in the kitchen range. The other ones you mentioned must be from another Weruva range because we can't get those out here.
