Morning ~O) and up a little high again on Maggie's AMPS, but not bad.
Melissa and Marge, thanks for visiting last night and sorry I misseed you, logging off early and falling asleep.
I think possibly the mystery is solved with the sudden increase in Maggie's numbers. I just recently started using the new AT strips in the old meter, and I've looked back the past few days and her numbers do seem higher. In comparing with the Relion Micro, it is reading 45-50 points lower than the AT every time, and normally it reads approx, 30 points lower. I don't think we have any AT'ers here on LL any more to see if they have the same thing happening. There is one person in Health I can check with, as she posted here on the coding for the new strips. In that case I gave Maggie a dosecrease based on these newer numbers, although she was due for one even with the old strips. I know I am probably rambling here, so if you've been able to read the whole post, thanks. All is well with Mags, and she's back to chatty Mags at night which is okay as that means she's feeling good. I found the pole toy strung across the bedroom floor, so an attempt was made to have some play time duing rem sleep. Have a nice day everyone.

So glad you figured out where Maggie's numbers are coming from. Good luck with the increase! You are already doing micro dosing so what's another drop right? I read the whole thing and it was not rambling. :-D Have a great day Ann!

Very interesting on the strips - I hope you can confirm with other AT users. There are a few here, but I can't remember who they are.... Good luck with the dosecrease too. I expect we will see Maggie back in great numbers too. And I agree with Melissa - read the whole thing, and no ramble! :-D

Nice to hear that Maggie is full of spunk this morning. I love the chatty Maggie at night. :cool:

Thanks Melissa for reading the whole thing and it making sense. Sometimes what I have in my head does not always come out correctly on paper. :lol: Yes, we're still microdosing. Now Mags is on three drops.

Hi Michelle, yes on the hoping to see her back in nicer numbers. This might be a good time for me to think seriously on changing to the human meter. The newer AT meters are so expensive. Yes, on the walk. I just bought some new Brooks running shoes. They have a lot of stability and good for walking. I may call someone for coffee/breffifs, good idea.

Hi Devon, didn't see you up there when I posted. Yes, crazy on the strips if it is so! I am going to buy a Relion Confirm meter today, to replace my Relion Micro, as I don't trust it fully. I've dropped it a few times. I already have the strips for the Relion and the same are used for the Confirm.

Hi Ann. Looks like Maggie is coming down nicely. I'm so glad she's feeling good, and being chatty at night. She sure does like to go pole fishing at night. :lol:

Yeah, some parts of North Texas got hit really hard yesterday during those hailstorms. We didn't get them, but then we didn't get the rain here, which is sorely needed. There was a golf course that received a lot of damage on their greens. The news report showed a handful of guys on their hands and knees turning over those divets. The insurance companies are going to have their hands full today. I'm just glad that nobody got hurt (at least that I'm aware of).

A little high again for Mags. I just bought a new Relion Confirm and compared the 193 and got a 144 on the new meter. It's a 49 variance, so I am suspicious the new strips with the old meter are giving a slightly higher bf by about 10 points. I still need to contact one person in Health and also Vetty's office. This may be a good time to switch over.

Thanks Reagan and Angela for visiting us. I didn't get out for my walk yet. I'm starting to walk later in the day as th mornings have a heavy cloud cover. Angela, so glad you weren't in the direct way of those storms with the giant hailstones.

Well, Mags does seem to like the extra drop okay; she is just a little higher than normal. She has good appy, but is sleeping a lot lately.

You did a good thing by switching the meter...Now you will be using it consistantly & is brand new meter--
What could be bad?? So many use the Relion meters, they must be good...Me, I have stuck with the accu check aviva for many yrs, and have an extra here...Moonie & Maggie are both on microdoses, so
accuracy is important to us==Right Miss Mags??--Moonie also started coming down tonite after a few yellow weeks..YEA!
Hope this will be the best meter ever! And that Maggie will be great & green!!

Hi Roni, I am still using the ATrak. I bought the Relion Confirm and really like the way it swipes a small sample.
Maggie sure would look more in sync with all of you with the human meter. Glad that Moonie is coming fown. They are even alike with timing and wonky numbers. :-D Psychics maybe the two of them!
 
Hi Ann thanks for visiting our condo, today or yesterday,.. I have a bit of brain fog, so my days are running into each other.

I use the Relion and I love how the strips only need a small bit of blood.

Maggie looks great tonight! Lets see some green Maggie, just a little.
 
Thanks Barb, I think she is trying for some greens if I can catch them. Good to hear a good recommendation on the Relion. A lot here seem to like it and very inexpensive, too. I bought a bottle of 100 strips for $36.00 today at Walmart!

Good to hear you got a hold of some reasonably priced strips. That's always satisfying:)
 
I was using the Relion for quite awhile and really liked it. The nice thing is you can order Arkray strips from American Diabetes Wholesale for even less than the Relion strips from Walmart, but in a pinch you can get strips at Walmart and they are SO reasonable.

I recently switch to the Arkray Vital, though...it takes a little more blood, but the strips are even cheaper, and it is still accurate and consistent.

Mags is looking lovely this evenint!!
