Yesterday was a hiking day for this bean, and I was gone for most of the AM cycle. I intentionally fed Mannie a higher carb food, to keep him in safer numbers while I was gone. DH could feed, but he cannot test, therefore food was our method. I believe that the high +11 is carb related. He did manage to make a really nice recovery, finding the greens by nadir in his PM cycle. All in all, a great day! We are mid yellow this morning. I wonder what today will bring: more greens? maybe just a resting yellow cycle? Whatever you choose Mannie, your bean is proud of you - good job! cat_pet_icon

We are cool. overcast, and drizzly this morning. It is a given that all the kitties are in sleep mode. Mannie took one look at all the wet, turned around and settled into a nanner nap. Breffis was consumed with gusto, nary a crumb left, clean plate club status remains intact. :-D :cool: I had to smile last night - it was after our last test, Mannie had gone to sleep in the nanners - duh, I went to pet him goodnight, moved one of the nanners in the process :o :o :shock: - out flew that paw, snagged the end of the nanner, latched onto it with his mouth, with that "MINE!" look on the face. He then proceeded to reclaim his property with chews, licks, hugs. :lol: :lol: :lol: What was I thinking.... shesshhhh.... and normalcy in MannieLand.

I took these photos at mt DD's birthday BBQ on Friday.... my son has just "nuked" one the the nanners (it does revitalize the catnip), and the boy was beside himself with nanner joy.

My friends!!! I had sooooooooooooo much fun at Gracie's yesterday. I LUBS pool chillaxin'! Hey - guess what? We have a full moon this wednesday - time to paw-tay! My bean says it's also a full lunar eclipse, whatever that means, i dunno.... I guess the moon gets this funky red color or sumthin'. Weird, huh.... What shall we do today? Party plan? I dunno.... but it is cold and wet here - anybody got warm and sun? ~~ Mannie

Morning Michelle, those Mannie pictures are a riot. I will have to try nuking Maggie's nanner. I did not know about the nuking to revitalize the nanner. It sure looks like Mannie enjoyed the party. Glad you got your hike in yesterday with Mannie's permission slip. He did recover nicely from the high carb, and I bet he sees blues and maybe greens, too! Have a nice day. It's cloudy here, too, all morning, and then sun later. The NB shoes are going to be okay, I hope, I have problems with my feet and usually need to wear an orthotic, bit these NB feel better w/out an orthotic. We'll see after I take a walk today. Have a nice day, any hikes!

Hi Mannie, I'm up for some sun if anyone has sun and a jacuzzi or pool. Gracie's last night was a barrel of fun and good fuds, too!

Nuked nanners! We ought to try that. Maybe Rusty would like his nanner better if it was nuked. Those are great pics!!!

Hi Michelle & Mannie, I'm glad that you had a good hike yesterday and that Mannie is starting off in yellow today. I'm sure he'll have a good cycle. Your weather today sounds like ours. We didn't go on the paddle. The logistics were all wrong.
We bought a dehumidifier for the cellar and will try it out today. Since I managed to plug (partially) the worst hole in the floor, the water has subsided a lot. Otherwise, no plans except for the daily walk to the post office. If if doesn't rain here I may go out for a ride on my bike later.

Nice recovery into the greens last evening, Mannie. How sweet that he can get back to greens after having HC food.....LOVE that. Too cute on the pictures....he is a character. Last night after I went to bed, Zoe found one of her furry mice and proceeded to drag it around the house screaming the whole time :o :evil: ....I had forgotten to pick it up and put it away when I went to bed and ALL mice must be put away at bedtime :roll: Apparently they are like the toys in Toy Story and come alive and bother her :o :roll: ;-) So I got up and put the mouse away and all was good for a good nights sleep after that. :-D Does she have me trained or what??? :YMSIGH:

Mannie - cool on the full moon party planning. It is hot and sunny here if anyone wants to party plan by the pool.... ~Zoe

Morning Melissa - It's Ok today - after all those carbs yesterday, a dropping pm cycle, and here we are yellow today. The +4 is down more - so, yup: not bad at all. :-D and thx on the photos.

Hi Ann - It was funny to see Mannie jumping for that nanner. At 14, and being a big kitty, that was no small feat.... :lol: Nuking will help - must release the catnip scent or something. And yes - I was glad to see him come down last night after all those carbs yesterday. Hooray! Good luck with the shoes!! I hope they work for you. I hear that NB is a good brand.

Hi Ella - yup -we have been nuking nanners, and other catnip stuff for sometime. Someone passed that tip onto one of my kids, who in turn passed it on to us. It does work... doesn't take but a few seconds... too bad on the paddle, but do understand the issue with logistics. Good luck with the dehumidifier! Nice too on the hole plug - bet that was a relief!

Hi Sherry - I thought so too on the recovery. I was glad to see it, even happier that he didn't skyrocket and stay there. YAY! omg on Zoe's mice!! That is too funny, not so much for the beans while it is going on, but after the fact: funny. :lol: :lol: on the toy story aspect.... love that!

Hi Marje - i know on the stretching. This was the second time my DS tempted him - the first one he did have to jump up, which he did, to catch the thing. I unfortunately missed that shot. Nuking does make them irresistible... just a few seconds though. -- a little drizzly her, but I shall go walk anyways.... low tide today!

I tried the nanner nuking and Champ still couldn't care less!!! It really bums me out. Then I'm doing something in the kitchen this morning, hear Champ meow, and he's lying there on the floor holding the nanner!!! Maybe he plays with it when I'm not looking!!

Mannie pictures are a hoot. Love the big streetttchh for the nanner. It proves that Mannie will do anything for a nanner :-D

I hope the nanner nuking helps. just a few seconds should be enough. You'll have to let me know of he likes them better.

Hi Marje - yep, no complaints here really. He's been on a slow drop all day, nice place to settle with that 141. I expect he'll surf here. It's what he did the last time I went hiking, and carbed him up some. A couple days of blues and yellows, then back to business. last time it was an all blue surf that second day after my hike day. it will be interesting to see if he does that tomorrow.
