Hello to fellow LL Members! I miss you all and have been occasionally responding to posts. I also drop in on Health.

Everything is good here at The Falls. Gobbles has all 6 P's in place. Since Gobbles' OTJ, I check his BG once a day, at various times: the lowest reading I got was 49 and the highest was 74, with most of the readings in the 60s.

His appetite is sometimes CPC and sometimes finicky.

He had slight poo a few times this past week, so I've started him (and the civvies) back on ReNew.

Gobbles is being a tyrant with regard to going outside. I do take him out once a day to get some exercise and allow him to roam the garage when the door is down (no worries--there is nothing in the garage that can harm him).

He is also still whining in the middle of the night; I do an occasional fake test and/or feed him to shut him up. This started during his OTJ Trial and I truly believe he does this because he's not getting tested at odd hours during the night and/or having a pajama party with mommy.

It is amazing that there is so much kindness, support and help here. We're sending vines to all kitties with appy, potty and health who need them :-D

Gobbles is so cute! MOOOOMMMMMYYYY... i wanna go outside. MOOOOOMMMMMMYYYY - you used to get up all night and play with me.. why not now?! Give him an extra scritch or two from us.
I hope he stays in the CPC and any poo issue is gone, gone, gone.
I'm glad you open a Gobbles condo every now and again. It's nice to hear how well Gobby is doing at The Falls.

nice whole cat report! slight poo? as in issues with constipation?
keep an eye on things. sometimes probiotics such as ReNew or Fortiflora can actually result in constipation in a cat. it's an ECID thing.
 
Hi, Kat! I'm glad Gobbles is enjoying life at the falls.
I love that he still needs his routine of tests. There's something really sweet about that. Well, maybe not in the middle of the night, but it does warm my heart.
Good luck with the ReNew ~ hope it works out for Gobs (and the civvies).

Hi Kat. Great report on Gobbles. I'm sure he misses all of the attention he was getting with the test. Bummer not to be THE center of attention all,of a sudden.

I love that he wants you to get up and test him.
I don't think I'll ever be at a point where I 'm not testing even tho' we are at the falls. I just Have to know how it's going.
 
Chyna thought it was weird to be doing less testing at first too (ie less treats and cuddling :lol: ) She'd walk to the spare room and look at me when it was bedtime like uh why aren't we doing a bedtime test? I try to put her in her testing spot and just brush or cuddle sometimes so she doesn't feel unloved! Who'd have thought after all the work to get them used to testing that they'd miss it, so cute. I'm glad Gobbles is doing so well :-D
 
When Donovan went OTJ, he expected the usual test/shoot/snack routine too. He got pieces of sliced deli turkey meat, which I kept in a small ziplock baggie in the fridge labeled "Shark Food" :lol: Donny was a big cat but so gentle... I'd hold the turkey and he'd sit up and grab it with his teeth, like a shark attacking prey.

It took quite a while for him to stop coming around for his treat at set times each day. Even my CKD kitties seemed to know when it was pokey time for their fluids.

Hi guys, so nice to see a gobbles condo! I hope his CPC status returns in full effect soon, and that there are many many nights of uninterrupted sleep in your near future! :-D

Mali and I have been AWOL last few days because of power surge, internet fail, router fried..all the lovely things that get in the way of being an active FDMB member...congrats to Gobbles on the OTJ :RAHCAT Mali wants Gobbles to teach her how it is done ;-)
