Champ has been doing very well since his dental, though his numbers haven't improved because of it. Not a big deal, though, since I've always assumed I was in this for the long run!!

I saw a syringe on ADW that I haven't heard of before called Sure Comfort. Since I needed to order syringes (along with the usual buttload of test strips), I ordered a box to see if they're any better than the Monoject. I know Marje and others have been in contact with the Monoject people about the quality of their syringes. I'll admit that I had never thought to look at the markings on the syringes until after I read Marje's comments about the problems. I STILL don't know if any of the syringes I've used have been wonky...I just don't understand what I'm supposed to be looking for and nothing pops out at me that doesn't look right. I have been having bubble issues lately, but I've also had bubbles in my Lantus pen for the very first time. BTW....how do bubbles (one big and a couple small) develop in a Lantus pen if you never inject air (or inuslin) into the pen? Is there an air leak or something? Does it degrade the insulin in any way? I used a syringe to draw the bubble out of the pen...got the bubble to the tip of the pen, stuck the needle in and drew out the air...worked like the charm!! I haven't had the bubble come back, but I sure would like to know how it got there in the first place!!

The weather here has been on the warm side and Champ has decided it's time to break out the mankini!!! His manboobs and flabby hindquarters will soon be the talk of the kitty party world!!! He's hoping Gracie or Tess will decide they LIKE manboobs and his junk in the trunk!!

It's always awesome to see a Champ condo! Yeah, a bunch of kitties have decided to run all over the FD map lately for some reason. Crazy cats!!! I'm curious to hear what you think of the new syringes.

We need some mankini photos of Champ!!

Hello!! Nice to see you. Great news that Champ is doing well after his dental. I agree with Amy. The kitties are playing all kinds of tricks on us lately and all over the place, but we love them all just the same.

Thanks on the 5K. DH and I started off with couch to 5K in March 2011 and have stuck with it. Saturday was my 10th 5K. I really hate to run. Always have and pretty sure always will. However, I love the cardio it gives me and the toning.

TWO WEEKS FROM TOMORROW WE WILL BE IN VEGAS!!! yay! Can't wait to see you!!

:lol: :lol: Patty, it's always seeing a Champ condo. I'm sure Mags will also be straining her eyes when the time arrives.
Glad to hear the good report on Champ, and look he's already into blue. On the bubbles, I don't know either. I use the vial and always have bubbles in the syringe. I keep tapping them out and to the top, but still some remain in the syringe at times. I have the MJ's, and this last batch I got lucky as most seem okay. Let us know how you like the new syringes. Good to see a Champ condo and that things are going well after the dental. Tess says she is more that willing to check out Champ's mankini!

It will be interesting to see how those new syringes compare. I don't seem to have the trouble w/ syringes others have. Maybe it is because I can count the drops on Tess's dose, it's a lot easier when the dose id tiny. I got bubble in mu pen when I left it laying down in the fridge. I think the gasket leaked a little. I store it upright now and there hasn't been a problem since. There shouldn't be any degradation from just air leaking in, as the vials always have air in them.

i don't think the air in the pen matters at all. what you did is one option, another is to get the pens that go on the pen (my pharmacist gave me one free) put it on, and use the dial thing at the end to push them out. set the dial to 2, for example, and then press the end. it shows how on the lantus.com site, but the bubbles don't hurt anything.

sorry you didn't get the miracle response from the cleaning, but it did take a few weeks on both vyktor and mikey. still might see some dose reductions.

i was gonna log off, but then punkin gave me the look that said "at LEAST tell my buddy Champ hi!" ;-) :-D :YMHUG:

I do believe my brain took a vacation. I just realized I've kept Champ on this dose for seven days, even though he's not doing much on it!! Tomorrow, up he goes!!
