Good New-Moon Morning and Happy Caturday!
Stu has decided to start the day in PINK. Since we went down to 1.25 units (this is cycle 11), he's had nice, shallow, mostly blue curves during the daytime and some greens at night. I suppose it's possible that he had a dramatic drop last night after +4.5 and is now bouncing from it, but the 156 at +4.5 was itself high in comparison to the several preceding days. Maybe he has simply decided that he wants to see how those higher numbers feel again! Maybe it's the weather (cold, heavy rain, dreary). Maybe he needs to get rid of another hairball. Maybe it's the new moon. In any event, he didn't finish the food in his automat last night and wasn't particularly hungry this morning for his food (but gobbled up the chicken-chunks treat). All the mice were strewn about in different places this morning, so it's clear that he had a good play. I went looking for some of his favorites, missing for quite some time, and found them under the stove. He was delighted to see them again, particularly "Emilie Mouse"--a tattered old favorite that my friend Emilie gave him years ago. She passed away from cancer 2 weeks ago and I'd like to think that she is smiling at Stu.
The chef is getting his ingredients together for the party tonight. Chicken pizzas with tuna crust, and chicken pizzas with shredded-duck-skin crust will be on the menu, as will blackened catfish. The kitties will dine by candlelight. I know that Raja and Shadow have been putting out all the candles in the house.
Stu is looking forward to seeing all of his friends and to meeting some of the new kitties.
Everyone have a good day,
Ella & Stu
