Good Morning, Everyone,
It's a very humid, warm morning here with lots of rain expected. I'm glad we're not paddling today: 30 mph winds are predicted! Rusty had a good night, woke us up at dawn with kitty kisses, and had eaten all of his nighttime food. This morning he had a good test, breakfast (FF T&G part of breakfast eaten!, but I expect he will finish the rest this morning), and a shot that may or may not have been accurate. I am now shooting 1.5 units instead of fat 1.5 units because I think I have to compensate for the idiosyncrasies of the new lot of syringes. This is noted on Rusty's SS. The dose is hopefully about the same. I spent a lot of time last night working with the calipers, but I am not (yet) skilled. They really help to determine whether the lines are in the right places, however! I'm not good at counting drops and find it much easier to eyeball, so I'm using the calipers on the syringe lines and spaces with the syringe empty.
We are getting ready for our trip to NYC tomorrow. Rusty knows all about it and is not particularly happy. On Thursday I hope to do a bike ride with my city cycling group. On Friday I have my doctor's appt. that was postponed from last month. On Sat. we are walking in Prospect Park (Brooklyn), shopping in the Brooklyn farmers' market in the park, and having lunch at an old friend's and former neighbor. It's always neat to go back and see our old block. On Sunday we are meeting another old friend for a walk around Prospect Park and then--a highlight of our trip--we will visit Roni (Moonie) at her table in the 7th-Avenue Street Fair. It will be such fun to see her again.
Next Monday we head back to the Adirondacks and will spend a couple of days at Camp Stu before coming home. So it will be a busy week ahead.
Wishing everyone a good day,
Ella & Rusty
Hey Kitties. Everyone is invited to visit me in the city. We can do Central Park, the hotdog stands, the Library, the Museums, the beaches. Whatever. And then Camp Stu early next week. We'll have a ball.
