Yesterday on The Luck of Ruby Cat. :cat:

Played with string and used her scratcher last night. ✅
Pooped yesterday afternoon. ✅
Got the making biscuits alarm. ✅
Polished off breakfast. ✅
Green start. ✅

Today is Ruby's second day on prednisolone.

I had a civvie (Cookie) who was on chlorambucil and pred for two years and did very well. Just want to mention I used the generic of chlorambucil which cost much less. I got it compounded from Stokes pharmacy in NJ. (They deliver.) This was a few years ago and things could have changed of course.

I'm so glad Cookie responded well to treatment! I'll keep Stokes in mind when we start the chlorambucil. Thanks so much for the tip, Camille! :bighug:

I second the recommendation for Stokes but I also know Wedgewood is very popular. I am not sure of the current pricing from one vs the other.
 
+2.5 = 106. Similar effect to yesterday morning from the pred.

I've had to empty out the pee tray from the litter box a lot in the last day. Ruby also waved her tail at me for her second morning meal earlier than usual and ate most of it with gusto. She's been on anti-emetics for almost 4 weeks now, so I'm going to start weaning her off them if her appetite continues to improve.

Steroids are serious stuff! Never having taken them myself I never knew how effective they could be.
 
I'm so happy Ruby already seems to be feeling better and eating with gusto! Those two gals are adorable! Thanks for sharing the photo... it made me smile.

Those numbers aren't anything that you cannot handle. So happy for Ruby... poor baby has been suffering.
 
+4 = 111. Creeping up...Leaving the house for a while so I won't obsess about the numbers. Hopefully she'll be green again by the time I get home.
 
Awwww, your babies are just so adorable, Katherine! Their picture was definitely needed today in my world! Ruby is looking good on the Pred (2.5mgs, right)? Pearl and I are cheering for her, and are so impressed!

Thank you for the good wishes and thinking that I'm brave as I don't feel that way at all! Have been such a mess over the past week.
 
Ruby has gone from inappetance to ravenous. :cat: I did not give her ondansetron this afternoon. Mixed a batch of ground lamb with lamb liver, quail egg and Alnutrin and gave her a smidge to hold her over until PMPS and it was a hit! :woot:
 
PMPS = 101. I'm not so happy with this. :stop: I will test more tonight and take Ruby up to .1 units tomorrow if her numbers float in the high greens to get ahead of these blues.

I took Prednisone once, I've never felt so good in my life. It's amazing what they can do. Threaten Ruby with that increase!
