Yesterday http://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=72920 during the day was still bounce recovery. Last night got a little more interesting.
PMPS 357 +2 339 +3 234 +5 130 +6 129
I suspect this mornings major bounce is the result of the massive drop from +2 to +3 last night. I sure hope she isn't reacting to the lowish blues as she has been there without this kind of reaction before.

We have just started cycle 9, and as usual there was somewhere between little and no sightings of green. Just a possible toe dip June 9th. So I'm proposing going up again tomorrow morning, Thoughts?

A second question, I decided not to set my alarm for a +7 last night, was that OK? My reasoning was that it looked she had nadired somewhere between +5 and +6 and was on her way back up, because there was only a drop of 1 point, so probably not still on her way down.

CPC club membership confirmed, one post breffs yard patrol, Neko is currently communing with the autofeeder.

I am going BTB for a bit, thank goodness for autofeeders.

Re: 6/12 Neko AMPS 588 - dosecrease timing?

Hi guys .. no dosing advice from me, but I sure hope neko comes down for you .. this floor is no where for kitties to be hanging! have a great day!

Wendy

I definitely think you have room to go up .25u at your next shot time.

I was always told for lantus that if kitty has come down, that you should get two rising numbers before you completely stop testing. I am a testaholic but it served us right on many occasions when Gracie's nadir moved. Since those two numbers were virtually the same, you don't know if she was coming down more as part of a bounce breaking cycle. I would have gotten the +7...just for future reference but I don't think it is anything to worry about today.

Some cats, when they clear bounces, do not have a discernible nadir....they just keep coming down. While it looks like Neko doesn't do that often, it does look like she was trying to clear a bounce last night.

Have a great day!

Re: 6/12 Neko AMPS 588 - dosecrease timing?

I think you were fine to skip the +7. It doesn't look like Neko typically drops late in the cycle. The likelihood that there would have been a drop into very low green numbers is pretty low.

Re: 6/12 Neko AMPS 588 +4 356

+3 356
Neko has rather quickly vacated those ugly floors, although I hope not too quickly. No need to bounce as a result Neko! Hoping we'll at least see some yellow today.

She is feeling much better, we just had a good cuddle/knead on lap session and we managed to engage the highest gear purring. She's also done a little play time, in between hiding under the bed when it briefly rained loudly. For those who don't know, that sometimes mean thunderstorms are coming so you gotta be prepared just in case. Scaredy cat!

@Devon - I agree, black is no place for cats and Neko promptly left the premises.

@Marje - Increase coming up, though I may wait until tomorrow because it might have to be DH doing the injection tonight. He hasn't had any practice on the 1/4 doses and I've got a board meeting to go to.

@Sienne and Marje - if Neko had been in the green I would have stayed up for rising numbers. It was a bit of a calculated guess. She has nadired later when clearing a bounce, but since we started in the pinks I thought it was mostly cleared.

Hi Wendy - nice recovery for Neko - so much better with that +2. Good luck with the new dos, when you decide to go ahead with it. it is nice too that your DH is their for backup - sure does help to have another that can test, and shoot, etc.

It is great to read that Neko is felling so much better - I enjoyed the cuddle, purr and play story. Too funny on being scared with the loud rain.

I hope your day has been a good one.

Re: 6/12 Neko PMPS 431 +2 445

+9 321 PMPS 431 +2 445, I got home in time to shoot so we went up to 6.75U

On the plus side, looks like I might get an early to bed night. On the down side, I am SO tired of high numbers. It is 4 months today that we started Lantus and we STILL haven't found the right dose. Argh!!

@Michelle - thanks for visiting. You'd think living in this part of the world Neko would have gotten used to loud rain. We did have a good middle part of the day but grumpy Neko is back with the high numbers. Of course it doesn't help that Theo has decided it's pick on Neko night. What a pest! I am glad DH can help out at times, it does allow me to get out a bit more and gives him an appreciation for the work involved.

Re: 6/12 Neko PMPS 431 +2 445

Hi, Wendy. Jinx has been doing great lately but decided to come up tonight as well. Hopefully a better day for both of them tomorrow and a good night's rest for you and me!

Re: 6/12 Neko PMPS 431 +2 445

Wendy we're saying a little insulin "rain dance". We really hope you see some number reductions here.

+3 350 and another 100 point drop in an hour. Bets on a bounce tomorrow?

@Reagan - hope your dosecrease works too!

@Joe - rest is good!
