Morning ~O) ~O) a sunny yellow and that's probably still some overnight fuds lingering with Maggie free feeding herself. Maggie seems well today with four "P's" and hopefully prezzies to follow. Yesterday Detective Poo gave her a day off. :-D Mags slept all night with me and no early wake up. I hope she's okay, as it's rare I don't get an early wake up. I was up much earlier to take care of some Maggie things and then had a nice btd with her. She's not happy with her Wellness fuds. :cry: PetFoodDirect takes a bit longer than wag.com.

P.S. Mariko, thank you for the info on acupuncture for Lucy. I'm so glad it's helping her. Yes, Mags has arthritis. I've not yet tried the acupuncture. She's had some help with Dasuquin.

Sometimes the kitties like to throw us a curve ball, like NOT waking us up. I know it's unnerving...hopefully all is well with Maggie. Argh on the fuds. Is there way to mix it with another flavor, to convince her it's OK?

Well good morning Ann ~O) ~O) You're probably correct on the yellow--hard to tell when they free feed; I often wondered that sometimes when Gobbles was yellow or higher some morning.

Don't worry about no early wake up--I know what you mean--happens a few times with Gobbles and I figure he is probably not hungry and was probably gobbling recently (it is all about food with him). I think the yellow number + no early wake up is probably due to eating! Don't sweat it--I'll bet she does her usual routine tomorrow morning.

Note to Poo Fairy: get off your arse and get the hay to Maggie's house!!!

Hi Amy, I guess she's okay. She just gave me some vocal garble about disturbing her to get a poke. I've been mixing the Wellness with the Cowboy Cookout, and it seems to be okay.

Hi Kat, just saw your post as I was typing at same time. You sure were on the mark. The yellow was free feeding, and Mags seems fine. Sounds like she and Gobbles are alike with the overnight free feeding. It sure works out well with me. Thanks for sending the Poo Fairy! :lol:

Well bummer too on the wellness. Maggie - what is up with that? Maybe just an off day in the fuds department. Interesting too on the no wake-up call. Mine were always so consistent with that too, when I still had the kitty choir, that I was always wondering when they missed a day. It usually righted itself the next day. I will hope the same for Maggie.

I'm glad the CC helped the Wellness become more delectable. (That's Ripley's favorite combo.)
I bet Maggie had such a nice deep sleep next to her mama. Maybe she was dreaming (about playing with her mousie pole toy) instead of waking you up early...

Hi Ann, Too bad you got the California Wellness and not the Canadian one. I'm waiting to see what the texture of the food will be like when they change to their new distribution program. In the meantime, I'm not asking my feed store to order any because it is not possible to know what it will be and this is a small mom & pop store and I don't want to burden them with returns, possibly multiple returns. Tomorrow, when I go to Potsdam to the dermatologist, I will stop at the feed store there and see what they have on the shelves. It's the only way to get what you want: look at the bottom of the cans or the stamp on the sides of the cases. What a drag!

Josie, this does seem to be her trademark splash with the +3's lately! I think Mags will start to like the CC and WT mixture.

Food spike and a splash! that is soooooo Miss Mags.

Good luck w/ the fuds search, there is always something that changes. Tess used to love the NV raw venison, but not our latest batch. :YMSIGH: It even smells different to me.

This isn't too bad, as Mags just had some bf doses to get in more Miralax and also Cowboy Cookout.

Ann & Tess, isn't it strange how it can be the same food but something's different with different batches. Cats always know the difference. :lol:

Very nice PMPS. C'moooooooonnnnnnn, prezzies!!!

I've always noticed finicky-ness from batch to batch. I know I used to see variations in Trix's enthusiasm when she was eating FF. She's also a little iffy sometimes with the Wellness chicken, even though they're all from the same case right now. Kinda makes ya wonder.....I hope you find the right stuff for Mags.

It looks like Maggie had a nice surf today. Maybe she'll get back to the lagoon tonight.
