I got a call back from the vet today and it was good news and not so bad news. He said he had spoken to a couple of other general practice vets that he works with and was still very concerned about Indi's numbers and putting him under anesthesia. However he also shared Indi's numbers with a friend of his who is an internal medicine specialist and was told that we are doing well with Indi and due to the amount of testing we do he is safe. He told him clinical signs are important along with numbers :joyful:
Bad news is all that being said he is not comfortable putting under anesthesia himself so he will be referring us to a dental specialist. I'm glad he is doing everything he can to keep Indi safe but frustrated at starting over yet again with another vet.

Glad to hear the IM vet backs up what you are doing.:)

I was really happy when I took Neko to a dental specialist. They are used to older, more complicated animals, and do eztra monitoring during the procedure. Plus the specialist saved a tooth that Neko's regular vet was ready to pull. It took me no extra effort to deal with the specialist - just extra $$.
