+6 =367 ella is going the wrong way! yesterday when i was moving pots around at shot time one of the lids fell out of my hand and banged the top of the insulin bottle. it made a little dent on the top of the botle as the metal is soft. could something like that compromise the bottle? it looks tightly sealed around the top.

gotta go back to work!

Ur bottle should be ok as long as u dont see any visible cracks on the glass, or any leaking.

Check it with ur magnifing glass!

No cracks in the glass Ronnie just a line indented on the top of the stopper. I just threatened her with a dosecrease so she better shape up or else!!!

I usually do +11 if I think her number will be low....kinda depends on the amps,+1 and +2 she gives me in the morning. If she's flat in the higher numbers I try and save the strips:) Tomorrow morning is the 6th cycle so the dosecrease would be in the pm si in that case I'd be waking up to do a mid cycle test if her +1 and 2 indicated I needed to:)

I agree with the others that the insulin vial should be OK if it is only a dent. If it leaks when you turn it upside down, not OK!

Ella, come on and get some lower numbers now. The dosecrease threat has been made.

Ella is going the wrong way and I'm totally baffled as she was getting as low as 100 on the 1u. Any theories?
 
Sometimes a dose just stops working. There's no explanation.

For now, I wouldn't fatten doses. The strategy behind fattening or shaving a dose is that it lets you zero in on a good dose -- a dose that's giving you mostly greens. Ella isn't there yet. You want to use the 0.25u to help you get her numbers down as quickly and safely as possible. Then you can strain your eyes with the microdoses!!
 
Thanks for stopping by Sienne:) I guess this dose has just stopped working as it seems a bit long for her to still be bouncing. She seems to be doing well as she's playful and purring. However, she is starving but I attribute that to be hyperglycemic. Her poops could be a bit better and I'm still having to use the restoral lax to keep her regular. She never used to have a problem with her poops so perhaps it's the food?! Tomorrow morning is the 6th cycle so I will dosecrease tomorrow night.

ps. I find the f doses easier to measure than the .25:)
