Hi everybody. Sorry we haven't been around for the last few days.

Here is our last post from Monday I think: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=16685

It's been kind of a difficult week. Tori continued to pee outside of the box so I took her in. It turned out that Dr Doug is on holidays this week so we saw the new vet in the practice. I really like her. It's so nice to know that I have access to a good backup vet again. It's not so much that the other older vets in the practice were no good but I could never relate to them as well as I can to Doug and now Sheila. I feel like I am able to work with these two and they are more up to date on things. Anyway Dr Sheila did urines on Tori including a C=S and it came back they she has a rip roaring UTI. She started her on Cephalexin which unfortunately did not agree with her at all. One hour after she took it she started vomiting like crazy. Fortunately I had some Metacopramide injectable that I could give her. Poor Daniel he had a long night with her trying to keep her BG up and to get her to eat. He did a real good job with her though. She is now on Clavamox which she tolerates much better.

While I was there she looked at the lump on the side of Tori's neck and agreed that biopsying it would be a good idea. It certainly hasn't gotten smaller and I'm going to drive myself crazy not knowing what it is. So the biopsy is booked for Thursday next week. Doug will be back from holidays by then. We decided to do her preop bloodwork at the appointment mainly because we wanted to see if her WBC was up. Good news is her CBC is perfectly normal. No increase in WBCs. So if she has a lymphoma it's not a leukemia. The other sample was lipemic so it will be repeated on the day of the biopsy.

ANyway tomorrow it's time to party! Next Wednesday will be the 5th year Annifursary of Tori being diagnosed with the Direbeasties. I want to have her party this weekend because quite frankly I need a party right now. You know what I mean. I'm scared to death.

So come one, come all! Come and see how the kitties in Canada can party. We're promised a beautiful warm day tomorrow and we have a large fenced backyard where all the kitties can play and visit. The tunaritas will flow! Come and celebrate with us . Tomorrow I will post Tori's story for those of you who aren't familiar with it. See You All Tomorrow!
