Good Morning, Everyone,

It's a beautiful summer day here this morning and the beans are going on a paddle with their "Monday Paddles" group on the Racquette River from Axton Landing to Racquette Falls (and back). This is a beautiful paddle of about 13.5 miles. There will be a spot on the river where we can go swimming.

Rusty, meanwhile, will hold the fort and have his lunch served by his automat. He had a good night (ate all of his nighttime food at some point, possibly just before dawn), good test, pretty good shot (can't trust this lot of Monojects; I may send for some Terumos) and at present is napping in his basket. When we get back this afternoon (after +9), he will enjoy some outdoor time.

Wishing everyone a good day, good health to all kitties who are under the weather, and a safe trip home for Roni this evening.

Ella & Rusty

Hey kitties, Come visit me today. We can chillax on the porches, do some grillin', and maybe go swimming at the end of the street.
Rusty

Re: 6/11 Rusty AMPS 113, PMPS 73

Hi again, everyone,

The paddle was great. Some people went swimming (Edward was one of them), but most of us were content not to wade out in the mud.

Rusty was very happy to see us when we got home (not until 5 PM: +10.5). He had eaten all the food (FF T&G) in his automat, but never did finish his breakfast (he ate the FF T&G and left the rest!). What a cat! Now he only wants FF! It doesn't seem to be spiking his bg anymore, or maybe it is, and he would be much lower without it. Whatever. The highlight of his afternoon was almost catching the chipmunk. Fortunately Chip-Chip ran into a crevice between 2 rocks. Rusty couldn't get his head in there. The chipmunk was careless: Rusty had been sitting on the brick walk, lazing in the sun, when the chipmunk just came ambling down the steps. Rusty was after him in a flash! (And I was after Rusty in a flash.)

I am having a crisis now with the MJ 31-gauge syringes, having run out of the "good" lots. I think Rusty is getting more insulin than intended: tonight I observed insulin above the zero line all the way up to the end of the round part of the barrel. I discarded that syringe and took out one of my 30-gauge Monojects that I had left over from last summer (when we switched to 31 gauge). That one was fine with no insulin above the zero line, but I had a problem with a big bubble. You can't win!! I have spent all evening thus far fiddling with the digital calipers. I'm about to go out of my mind!

bbl. am exhausted and want to chill out.

nice pmps -

It sure sounds like a great paddle day. :-D   Swimming sounds great, but I too think i'd be on the shore.

Oh wow on the FF! no more wellness Rusty? Mannie does love the FF too, though so far we haven't had a wellness boycott. paws crossed.

what to do with the syringes - yes, it will drive us all crazy.
