I was completely exhausted yesterday. I didn't realize just how much until I fell asleep before the 11:00 news was over. Max tried to wake me but I ignored him in the early morning. I even fell back to sleep,something I haven't been able to do for ages. He wanted food I think. He ate well this morning. His bounce cleared. Now let's see what the day brings.

Sending vines to all in need.

Elise, thanks for visiting Spot's condo. In regards to Lev....I really really like it. It fits in well with my lifestyle....I have read that it is not a good idea to prefill syringes with Lantus, but it was ok with Lev. I work full and part time....and sometimes I can't be home for Spot's pm shot so my mom will give it to him. She is 79 and has a hard time seeing to fill the syringes so I have to prefill them. That was my main reason for trying Lev. As you can see by Spot's ss, he did very well on it. I am just trying the lantus to see if it would make any difference. I can not see anything at the moment, but he's only been on it for a few days or six cycles.

Glad to hear you got some sleep last night, you surely needed it! Hope Max will clear this bounce quickly, I know he will! :smile:

So I'm wondering if this isn't a bounce but rather he needs more insulin? I ask because he came back down this morning and has been going up all day. He hasn't eaten since +3. He slept again all afternoon. I just put his food out and he is eating now. What do you think?

I think he's probably bouncing from dropping 163 points in 3 hours last night, Elise

They don't only bounce from low numbers but also from fast, steep drops.

Hopefully you'll see some better numbers tomorrow, but it looks like you might get another night of sleep!! Not all bad news!

Yes, another night of sleep will be greatly appreciated. Oh how I didn't want to get up this morning!! ~O) helped. I'm just not used to him coming down and right back up. Mr. Max sure is a bouncy cat and he reacts to small changes in insulin it seems. He's mighty hungry tonight. I wonder what that will mean for later. He just ate and is meowing for more. He has gained 3 ounces so I need to feed him less and not more,sigh. He was up to 15 pounds this morning and needs to get back to no more than 14 1/2. Thanks, Chris.

I think he's likely going to need to go back up in dose, Elise. He was at a dose that smoothed out those bounces and we knew you'd have to adjust the dose when you changed the syringes. I'm not sure why he got down into the 40s the other night...sometimes absorption can be a little better than other times.

Let's see if the 428 is the high before the break but I'd be tempted to take the dose back up if he doesn't clear tomorrow mornings cycle (look at p.m. Cycle 6/6 where he popped up to 425 and then cleared the next morning into green).

Hi Marje. I thought the 484 was the high last night and when he was back to 165 this morning he had cleared a bounce. Now that he was back up to 428 again tonight. That is why like you I was thinking he needed that little bit more. It's only .18mm. So if he is high in the morning do i do it then or wait until tomorrow night? Thank you.

Yoohoo Max - time to come down please! But slowly this time.

I think Marje was saying to see how he does in the day cycle tomorrow and then decide if he needs to go up again tomorrow night.

Two nights in a row of sleep - priceless!
