Good Evening, Everyone,

We decided to come home from camp today since the paddle was cancelled and rain was on the way. Also, we didn't want Rusty running around on his injured foot looking for squirrels and chipmunks at camp, where it is more difficult to keep him under control. He wound up having a flat, high-blue day, probably a combination of the trip, the squirrel hunt, the injured foot, and the cold weather. He slept all afternoon after we got home, but did manage to eat some of his lunch and ate most of his dinner. We will be watching his foot (it's the right foot, I think, not the left) and will have the vet check him out next week. He needs to get his shots in any event, and I want to have the spec fPL done so that we will have a baseline if there are any other flares.

Came home to a mountain of paperwork and a village tax bill. Looks like a fun weekend shaping up. Good thing it's going to rain!!

I hope all is well in LL and will try to catch up this evening,

Thanks for visiting us at Camp.

Ella & Rusty

Hey Kitties, thanks for keeping me company and for all your congratulations on my squirrel hunt! I need some KTSS. My foot hurts!

Hi Ella,

Is there any chance that the squirrel put up a fight and bit Rusty on the leg?

Good point about the squirrel, Linda. Did you check his leg for any cuts or thorns? Can you tell if it's the paw or a joint? Hope he feels better soon!

Hi Linda, No, I don't think the squirrel bit Rusty. He wasn't licking either of his legs or feet, and we looked for blood and didn't see any. I think he simply ran around too fast. I didn't see the incident: Edward was outside with Rusty. Edward said he had never seen Rusty move so fast, zig-zaging back and forth after the squirrel. The squirrel was a red tree squirrel. They are the size of a chipmunk, not big like the gray squirrels. I really felt sorry for the squirrel. She had a beautiful face and when I saw her Rusty had her in his mouth and would not let her go. He was trying to carry her into the cabin. She was still alive, but a bit battered from his claws. By the time we finally got him to drop her, she was dead. Edward took her body into the woods and buried her under some leaves. I think she died of fright. I didn't see any blood on her.

Yo Leo, they took my squirrel away. I guess our beans only permit us to catch mice. Wow, you've caught lots of squirrels. Big ones?

Wow Rusty, you caught a squirrel! You sure did move fast! Sending some vines for Rusty's leg and hope it's better by tomorrow.

Rusty, thanks for entertaining us at Camp Stu, Mags

Hi guys!

Sorry you had to come home early, but I am sure there will be many more opportunities to return.

I hope all is well with Rusty - very well could be that he pull something. Mannie did something similar once when being chased by a dog. I never knew he could move so fast. Hope it will be better tomorrow.

Nice Numbers today - blues for Rusty. Bet he is back to those greens tomorrow. Right Rusty?

Enjoy your evening - Hope is is a relaxing one.

Rusty!!!!!!!!!!!!! DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your foot! We are on our way! the KTSS is that is, with all our stuff to help you feel better. I will bring you some chicken soup - that will help! If you are up to it we need to see Champ too - he had a dental! on our way! ~~ Mannie

An unusual blue day for Rusty!!! I hope it's not pain from the hurt tootsie.

Glad you got home safely. I hope all is ok with Rusty...good idea to get a baseline specfPL.

Tobey says to tell you he loves you and might come visit this weekend!

Poor Rusty!!! Catches a squirrel, hurts himself doing it, and then you take away his prize!!! I know he was saying, "what's up with that?"

Hope it's just a strain of some sort and nothing serious!!!

Poor Rusty! Sorry about his foot. He probably just sprained it. Squirrel chasing is hard work. Blues aren't bad with the trip and his foot.

Ugh on the paperwork. It will give you something to do anyway. Have a great night Ella!

We are on our way Rusty! We'll get you fixed up in no time. Thanks for letting us hang out at camp. It was awesome. See ya soon! - Tarragon

Ella

Got your note about the MJs....I was wondering if you'd gotten them. I'll be anxious to hear how they look. Could you also send me the lot numbers please? I have several different lot numbers around here now and would like to compare them.

Between the calipers and just looking closely at the cone, I've done ok with drawing more consistently. If they change the needle again so it goes down further, I'll have to probably adjust her dose. crazy.....
