I think I over-carbed her last night at PMPS +1 as we were going out and her +1 was lower than PMPS, so I gave her a sachet of HC to keep her safe, probably way too much in hindsight. So I think I'm still seeing the effects this morning but coming down nicely towards PMPS in just under an hour.

Not sure if we have another constipation issue, I've been trying to keep my eye on her to see if she produces anything but have been busy in the garden so I might have missed it. Anyway, adding Miralax substitute and a little coconut oil to all feeds until I see that she's doing normal poos. Someone had used the LB but can't be sure which kitty, and no one is owning up.

Crystal has been a great help with the weeding by laying on them and flattening them for me and then wanting lots of strokes and headrubs before she will move off so it's taken twice as long, but we've both enjoyed petting time. She's worked up an appetite and is anxiously waiting for her dinner.

Time for the beans to relax on the terrace and contemplate life over a glass of wine before dinner. Always a sense of achievement after a hard day's work in the garden, but it does seem never-ending at this time of year.

Vines to all those in need today.

Sounds like you and Crystal had a good day. So glad her numbers are looking better. Hope you have a good evening.

@Grayson & Lu Thanks for looking in Lu-Ann and for your advice. I'm not using any R at the moment, just letting the new dose of Lev settle in, do you think it's best to hold off the R for the time being? Any other advice from "the Cavalry" on this point?

Hi Suki,
Good to see those blues showing their heads.....and even the yellow numbers are at the lower end of the scale so PROGRESS:)

I have no experience with what you are going through but I was wondering if, instead of giving Crystal HC when you go out, if you gave her some MC, say 13 carb, food........it might still do the job but keep her more on track .......just a thought. I find HC food really jacks up the numbers, especially if they are not really low, whereas MC still does but not as much. HC is great when the numbers need rescuing. I have done a lot of fiddling with Sheba's food trying to manage the drop and I found even small changes made a big difference. If you feel anxious about doing it, you could try it sometime when you can monitor it and see what happens..........just me thinking out loud, hope I haven't confused the matter.

OK, Crystal. You turned blue at the cusp of today's cycles. How about expanding that shade a bit more.

Love the weed help!

Last time you upped the Lev dose, you started in with R right away. If you see she's a bit higher at preshot, I think you'd be fine to jump in with R.

Those blues were pretty today, paws crossed she finds her way back overnight.

Regarding HC vs. MC, you really have to play around when you can monitor, to see what works. For example, I will only give Neko HC if she's in the lower greens and have to go out. But I know what a tsp or two will do and for how long. Crystal has dropped to green early in the cycle before, so you did the right thing to make sure she was safe. As you said, maybe just play with quantities a bit.

264 at AMPS this morning.
Thanks Bron and Wendy for the feeding advice. I must admit that I haven't checked out the carb content of the normal Felix pouches that the civies get, I'm assuming it's probably medium carbs. I buy the Purina ONE with gravy as my emergency backup, but it gets used occasionally when we run out for the others, they all love it so it must be bad for them.
Need to wade through the international food list again at some stage but a very limited choice here for wet food, French seem to prefer feeding dry food. I have used Zooplus for high quality grain free German brands for Crystal, with varying degrees of success. Would be so much easier if she would eat it regularly, but she gets bored with it very quickly and I end up throwing most of it away, the civies aren't keen either.
