Last night, Morris only ate 1/2 of his food - even with parmesean sprinkled on top. Still have not heard from my vet - I will call her at lunch today if I don't hear from her before then.

the 5 P's.....have not seen much preening (just a bit of it after giving fluids, then he tries to clean the area where the fluids are) & not much playing either (he is still a bit grumpy!). The other P's are all working fine.

I heard back from my vet this afternoon. She will give me the injectable pepcid (will pick up from the office on my way home from work tomorrow). She is going to double check, but she does not think that the injectable bupe is available in Canada as yet (& even if it is, she is not sure how long it will take to order it in, or even where she would order it from!). I only have 1 dose of oral bupe left, so I will get more of that from the office tomorrow afternoon (even if she can track down injectable bupe, it will take a bit to get it into the office).

Morris ate all of his food today! 1/2 can Merrick, 1 can LC Fancy Feast, both mixed together, water added, parm sprinkled on top. I tested him at PMPS time (got home just in time!), then I watched him eat....he ate almost 1/2 the food I had put out for him! Once he was done eating, I then gave him approx 100mls SQ fluids.

Awesome job Morris!!
Good job getting home in time for the shot! Life revolves around shot time :-D sometimes that's good and other's not so good
Have a great night.

I guess it could be because of the SQ fluids, but I am sure liking the numbers he has been having lately! I looked back on his ss to when he had his first flare back in Feb.....he did have some nice numbers then as well, but he was also bouncing into the ugly numbers at the same time. At least this time around, his numbers are staying more consistant!

Last- pls don't use a felt pen to mark off the amts on the bag. The chemicals from the ink can seep through the bag. I use a piece of highlighter tape, which I can put up, then take off right after finishing the fluids.
Really?!?!? Thanks for the info! Will stop using the marker![/quote]

I can't find where I read this info right now. But i figure, better safe than sorry.

You might have to make a scheduled rotation of sprinkles for variety for Morris. Fortiflora vs parm cheese? or keep track of which flavors of fud he was fed when he eats well or not so well. see if there's a pattern.

Also? I think (where's Jojo?) that SQ bup is the same as oral bupe.
