56 tonight. Should I be concerned? Scale his insulin back to 2? He's eating FF right now but I brought some dry kibble in case I needed it while we were in the hotel. I also have travel size packets of honey.
 
That should be fine. You might get another test in 20 minutes, without giving any food, just to sure he is rising.

And yes, you need to skip. Tomorrow he may be high, but that'll be because he will have been 24 hours since the shot. But I would still reduce the dose. Maybe down to 2 or 2.5. Clearly the insulin is starting to work. Reducing is definitely in your future.
 
Good. We travel home tomorrow. What do you guys think about me mixing a little honey with his Clindacure?

He's had a little FF already, now he's sitting here with me, grooming himself. I haven't seen him groom himself in a while.

My son has Type 1 diabetes. He was diagnosed when he was nine and he's twenty now.
I'm pretty careful when it comes to most things diabetes. Though, I really never thought twice about the amount of insulin he was on before. He was probably having a lot of lows without me realizing.
 
Yeah that last number was a good one. I'll stick him again in about 40 minutes and then it's lights out.

I made a rice sock the other day from a baby kitten I had. I can't believe how well it helps the blood flow to his ears and how easily he tolerates the stick when I use it.

Sorry, I was out last night. I have a small group of friends I get together with on most Saturday nights.
