One of the three stray kitten litters who adopted me this summer was fine this morning. I went to clean their room this afternoon and she wouldn't put weight on one of her back legs. The regular vets in the area had just closed so off to the ER vet. X-rays showed no fractures and did not appear to be dislocated. She said she wasn't as familiar with X-rays from such a tiny kitten, but it looked like inflammation by the knee. I got pain meds and she said to make a follow up if not better on Monday. She's so pathetic! Hope it's just bruised. Thanks.

Oh, it's hard enough to see a full grown kitty that isn't feeling well, much less a teeny 5 week-old kitten. Prayers and "feel better" vines headed her way Jeanene!

She's putting some weight on it this morning. Favoring it but able to walk. Guess we could have saved on the ER vet costs, but I couldn't just wait and see in case it was something worse.

She's walking pretty well. She's also growling at her lookalike brother and putting her foot on the food so he can't have it. LOL. Had to give her a separate dish. I think she's feeling better. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

Sure sounds like she's feeling better! Great news.
