5 grams of carbs in wet food the best?

Sorry for possibly too many new threads, but just one more question (for now!)

I've been through that extensive and excellent list of wet foods and highlighted the brands available here, and the ones with carb values of under 5. I know people say anything under 10 is ok, but is it even better, or significantly better, to go for under 5?

Also, I assume the better options within the above group would be the ones that have a higher protein value to fat value. Is that correct? Or is it ok for cats to have higher fat values in their food than protein?

I am shocked to see SO many have carb values of over 20 or 30. Amazing.

It depends on the cat and the finances.

I'm feeding 13 or so in the house and using Friskies in the 13 ounce cans. Wellness is just too expensive to do that with this many cats.

The garage cats get a Friskies at the evening feeding, then Evo Cat and Kitten dry for eating the next day. They are in a garage at present, and if it gets cold enough, canned food would freeze.

Oh my god, 13 furbabies! lol. You would SO not be able to get those expensive foods!

My two have always LOVED the Fancy Feast cod, sole and shrimp and this appears to be one of the best options in terms of hardly any carbs, high protein and moderate fat.

Ah yes, I'd heard about that. What can it do if given more often?

Monty, Dweezy's brother, gets a little rash on his chin when he eats too much fish.

Mercury build up sometimes. Bladder stones from high levels of minerals.
