Last night: As of last night, Rocket is home. Claudia says the vet thinks it is a "severe bladder infection...No kidney stones based on the xrays taken". Rocket ate alot on his own, with Claudia holding his dish. She says he "looks weak and miserable".

This morning: Rocket's BG was high this morning. Claudia reports that "he ate but trembles a bit so I hope that's not pain related. " I gave the bupe this morning before coming to work". Claudia will go home at lunch to check on him.

If I hear anything else today, I'll update or hopefully, Claudia will be on to let us know more this evening.

Keep the prayers coming! Rocket is one amazing kitty!

Prayers for that Trooper Rocket!! What a great kitty, what a great Mom bean--Healing vines to the sweet boy!! Hugs & Love from us!

Hi Georgia, Thanks for the update. I hope the Bupe helps Rocket. It's good he's eating, and I know she can't wait to go home and check on him. Yes, an amazing kitty and Bean, too! Sending more healing vines and prayers for Rocket. (((Claudia)))

Good to hear that Rocket is doing a little better.
Sending more vines and prayers to Rocket and Claudia.

Thanks for the update.

Hugs to Claudia and tons of vines for for Rocket! I'm glad to hear he is feeling at least a little better. Our vet recommended Cosequin when Tess was getting bladder infections. It soothes and strengthens the lining of the bladder. The bupe helps a lot too!

Rocket had a rough night last night...but all things considered he managed to eat on his own even if i held his dish for him....i came home from work at lunch and he hadn't touched his food but after a few cans were opened he nibbled a little bit of each meal presented to him....he looks pretty weak and his front right arm (leg) is bruised from where they missed putting in the catheter....the other leg (arm) doesn't look too bruised and so he's been licking both legs lots....i am hoping it's only a UTI but not too certain of it....i tried taking his temp and he was too cranky so i got a false reading....he looks pretty beat....i am not far behind...i haven't had much sleep....thought of giving a little update on Rocket....thank you so much for your hugs, thoughts, healing vines, prayers.....it means a lot to me....and i told Rocket we have lots of friends thinking of us.....

when i spoke with the IM vet yesterday he feels if the urine culture comes back negative then we are dealing with a more serious issue which is the mass in the lung...he is not so worried on the one in the pancreas....the one in the lung according to him can have dead tissue causing it to get infected and so Rocket's immune system tries to fight it and hence the high fevers....so if this is what is causing his fevers then after he finishes the Baytril i need to get him checked by his reg vet (apt made for next Thursday May 17) and will get him on permanent abs called Clavaseptin....the IM vet said to give it to him to help him fight from recurring infections....and at least provide him with some QOL.....if that doesn't work then i'm not sure what's next....but i don't want to think that far away....

we are taking one day at a time....actually one hr at a time....he looks pretty tired but gives me attitude if i get near his front legs....i guess he is tender in that area....

i will post pictures when i'm more awake (hopefully by the weekend) and you guys can see how tired he looks....

thank you for the prayers...he is not out of this one just yet....so keep them coming! much appreciated....

i on the other hand, i have no clue what day today is....i'm exhausted and have had barely any sleep but the love i have for Rocket keeps me going.....

will update when i find out the urine culture results

PMPS 158

off to feed him and give him his pred :YMSIGH:

Claudia, thank you so much for your update. I know you are exhausted from work and from all the stress of the last couple of days with Rocket. I am praying for a little rest for you and Rocket tonight. Please give Rocket a big, big hug from me (and one to Comet, too!).

Thank you for your update Claudia. I know you are tired. He is in no better hands than yours. I'm so glad he's home....he will do much better with you as his supreme nurse.

Sending many more healing vines and prayers.

I'm so glad to hear Rocket is home. I hope they find that it is just a kidney infection and you don't have to go further than making him well again. Will be thinking of you both and sending healing thoughts your way.
