Yesterday's Condo

I am pleased we are back down in the 200s. Yay!

Willy was acting kinda funny last night and I was getting worried. It made it difficult for me to get to sleep which was horrible because he came in ready to wake me up 2 min before my alarm went off. He hasn't done this in awhile so I know I was definitely overreacting last night. ohmygod_smile

Happy mother's day to all of our mommas out there! Thank you for all that you do for us, human and furchild alike.

(hugs)

Re: 5/8 Willy AMPS 240

There you are!!! I posted earlier today and knew I didn't see your condo then. Nice to see Willy in the 200s and hope he had a great day. I hope he'll carry it over into the evening, too!!

Haha! We give Willy his shots later than most but it's the only time we could do it consistently! So I don't usually post until the afternoon!

I wish I understood what is going on with his BG... I am getting a little frustrated (not with him! with my own lack of experience). I'm going to start testing for ketones because I think it will help calm me down when I worry. My vet mentioned knowing of a crystal substance that you add to the litter box for it. I did a bunch of searching but I couldn't find it, so I will ask her about it this week. If I still can't find it I am going to try to gravel approach and just hope he pees when he's closed in the bathroom during mealtimes.

I changed the way I was feeding him recently. We added a hard, heavy, rubber ball to his dish to slow down his eating. He eats so fast it's kinda disturbing. It seems to have slowed him down a little (and he's forced to move around a lot more) but he is still eating at world record pace. I've tried feeding him a spoonful at a time and doing various "training" type things with him but they usually end in me getting attacked (he gets really frustrated- same reason we do not give him treats). We may try a different bowl. We do this same trick with Zell and it's slowed him down considerably but his bowl is oblong. The ball rolls around a lot, its really funny to watch him maneuver.
