Yesterday, mostly blue with a quick trip to pink. :roll: Loved her flat blue night. :cool:

Neko is mellow blue this morning - I think flatness agrees with her. She had a good night in her usual bed, came in to greet us when we got up for rowing (and her +9 test), (im)patiently waiting in the kitchen for the out of the house treat, and came downstairs to greet us when we got home. No civie whacking! :o

I might try an underneath comb job today, I got about a kitten's worth of fur from the top, back and sides yesterday. Neko has really thick fur and the few warm days we have means lots of shedding. And she's so much softer when combed.

:lol: on that picture, Rhiannon! Neko looks lovely and pretty flat today! Hope she continues her flatness with a little slide to the lower blues! :-D Hope you have an awesome evening with lots of snuggles from your sweet girlie!

I have a kitty "Teddy" she is so named because it takes 3 people to comb and clean her up once a month. She was feral and we rescued her and her brother from a horrible farm. She is 8 years old now and long haired and beautiful. She just thinks being a farm girl that she doesn't need brushing! or cleaning! LOL

I love that Neko lets you comb!

I have to do teddy soon though.

That's a nice flat cycle! Neko looks gorgeous in blue. :smile:

Does she like having her undercoat brushed? We have a civilian that has a really thick undercoat too, even though he's short-haired. We use a furminator or a shedding blade to get at the undercoat, and he absolutely loves it.

Flat again, wrong side of the blue floor. :roll: I'm fighting with syringes again. :YMSIGH: BD has a monopoly in Canada, I just opened a new box a couple days ago and this one has the same problem as the last one. The part where I measure the "zero" when I use calipers is very inconsistent. I could toss out half of them. :twisted: I'm afraid she's not getting a consistent dose right now. Neko might also need an increase but I'm going to hold for a couple days. Tomorrow is a cross border strips run and Saturday we are going to the island to celebrate Mother's Day a day early.

@Rhiannon - :lol: :lol: :lol: maybe that's why she's not fond of getting combed.

@Carla - Surf is falling apart. I didn't get combing done, maybe later.

@Deborah - Flat but drifting up. :roll: Snuggles, that's what I need tonight!

@Ella - Neither of us was in the mood for belly combing today. I think Neko might have left a few eels in the net for the sushi. She's feeling mighty full right now. ;-)

@Linda - If I sit Neko up on her hind legs, I can get to part of the belly, or if she's on her side and I just lift the hind legs I can also get to them. As long as there aren't any knots we are good to go. Long haired ferals are tough. I spent a lot of time in our local shelter on combing detail. Neko's a sweetie in comparison to some of them. :lol:

@Jen - I love Neko in blue too, just wish she'd get back there. I've tried furminator and the zoom groom and the comb works best with Neko's fur. Civie has shorter long hair and he loves the zoom groom. Previous long hair maine coon cross liked the furminator. Tool cupboard is well stocked. :lol:

At least, Neko and Lucy have each other on the yellow floor. :smile:

I really have to groom Lucy and Ginger too.
I do a little bit each day, but they both need more serious sessions....

It is so aggravating - I am sorry you are having problems with the syringes. :(
I hope Neko comes down a little for you!!

The amazing NW weather is just around the corner. Then you will be able to more time with them outside!

Ugh - stinky pinky. No idea what caused that. ohmygod_smile Oh well, a good nights sleep for me.

@Mariko - Neko overshot her place, maybe she'll come down later. :roll: I guess you didn't get Lucy groomed at her dental? Neko's easier to groom if she's blue. Theo doesn't like his tummy combed either, but he doesn't get many knots.

@Rich - We've had some great NW days, started out OK today, but went to rain. :YMSIGH: Good again in a few days. Only Neko goes out - she was out for about 3 minutes later today - too wet. :lol: The syringes are annoying because they are a monopoly, poor quality, and cost more. :twisted:
 
You would think the humans that are diabetic would demand better quality control with the syringes. Max never used to get matts but now he does. I accidently found one with the comb that was on his belly and he bit me!! I saw first hand what the techs saw when they did his curve. My mellow cat can turn into a monster.I hope you see blue and green tomorrow.
