HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY to all of our LL friends who are moms, stepmoms, grandmoms, or "acting" moms! We hope you have a beautiful day doing all the things you love with all the ones you love!

We were expecting Gracie to clear her bounce today if she was consistent with previous times on this dose and she didn't disappoint although she's coming down a little slower than I thought she would. She and Tobey have been wild children this morning; Gracie was the instigator but then if she ends up on the bottom, she breaks out the hissing and growling and looks at us as if to say "hey...he used to be 2 lbs...what happened?" :lol: I got a TON of the best Gracie Happy Mothers' Day snuggles...the ones where she settles her little face into my neck and wraps her paws around it and purrs herself to sleep cat_pet_icon cat_pet_icon Everyone seem to be feeling well here this morning anti jinx.

I leave you with a special photo for Mothers' Day. It is of our "resident" javelinas who have made themselves quite the spot on our property. If you look closely, you'll see two tiny babies (you can see the ears on one...the other is facing him and snuggled down) on top of their moms. They are so adorable and race around chasing each other like puppies and kittens.

Awwww.....kitty snuggles for the bean this morning.....nice job Gracie. And some nice looking numbers for her.

Cute photo....w/the baby and all. How close did you have to get to snag the pic?

BTW....using your Catnip Video w/Curry for her exposure therapy. It seems to calm her. :mrgreen:

Happy Mother's Day to you Marje!! :-D I think Gracie knows what day it is and is giving you some great numbers!! She's such a sweet thing!!

I love that you have wildlife on your property. So many people wouldn't tolerate that. You must live out in the boondocks on the edge of town, which is exactly what I've done, to the extent that Las Vegas allows. But all we have in the way of wildlife is coyotes, nothing as cute as Javalinas (which I've never heard of so I'm going to be goggling!!).

Hi Marje, I have never heard of javelinas - are they very large? Are they desert creatures? I guess I could google them, but was just on my way out for a bit now that Mags is settled in one of her many beds. Happy Mother's Day to you, as you are a wonderful Bean! How cute of Gracie to give you lots of cuddles today. So cute with Gracie and Tobey being so playful. Have a wonderful day!

Tena: glad Curry loves the video and we were about 10' away when we took this shot but were inside our courtyard with a 3' wall separating us...safe.

Tracy: thank you!! I love my Gracie snuggles. Yes..the baby javelinas are cute...the adults, not so much :lol:

Patty: Yes, we live in the county and all the houses are on 1 acre or larger. Lots of wildlife...javelina, bobcats, occasional mountain lion, deer, coyotes, Gila monsters...tons of birds and of course lizards, snakes, ground squirrels. Love it. I'm surprised you don't have more than coyotes....

Ann: Javelinas are in the peccary family although they look like pigs and are about the same size as wild pigs. Big enough that you don't want to mess with them...they have scary bad teeth and can be quite aggressive esp with babies. We've gotten into a "live and let live" with ours; we know to keep our distance and we just leave them alone..they are always around. You just have to be respectful of their space. Hi Marjorie. Me too, hafta Google the javelina. It looks like a pig.....is it? The wildlife here, on my property, is raccoons, skunks, deer, chipmunks, fox, woodchuck (which loves roses, ask me how I know..grrrr) all sorts of rodents.
Want to hear more? :lol:

Ooh, I'd love to have kitty snuggles in the morning. Mine walk all over me and holler at me. :smile:
Gracie came down beautifully. :-D

Hi guys!! happy Mother's Day! Sounds like good times there today - nice of Gracie to give her mama bean all those cuddles. :-D :-D :lol:

very nice photos - cute little buggers - love the babies. quite the menagerie you have there.

Nice cycle today for Gracie - typical lantus curve. I hope she can hold onto the blues, surf well Gracie! You and Tobey be good, maybe make dinner for your mamabean - she works hard, and needs a day off now and then. Mannie says he can get away for a few if you want help with the cookin'.

The javelinas are amazing! I've only heard them when I was a kid (as in avoid them when your out hiking). Your cats must have the best window seats ever!

I've never heard of them until just now, but you're right,the babies are adorable.
Thanks for the kind words about my furbabies, Phoebe is a beauty.. and she knows it..

Yay Gracie! good numbers!

Willy would love to find out if those javelinas are tastey or not for you... the visual involves him attempting to chew on their bottom but not doing any damage.. just getting sorta latched on, cartoon style. Maybe it could start running around and Willy can get the cartoon looking determined eyebrows. :lol:

Barb: they are peccaries...look like pigs, not pigs. Actually sounds like you have cool wildlife! I'll snuggle Gracie extra for you today!

Lisa: she did ok....at least she got some green!!

Michelle: lots of great cuddles today and yes we have quite the menagerie. Yes..please send Chef Mannie!! :lol: :lol:

Beth: they aren't known for their tasty meat!! And they STINK!!! They are so smelly that I will often wake up in the middle of the night as they pass by outside the wall on the west side of our bedroom.

Mococo: is that your name?? Sorry!! I know you are D'Artagnon's mom (french face, butterball :lol: ). Yes the kitties have lots of places to watch the wildlife from but I'm not sure how often they've seen the javelina...they don't get that close to the windows or the patio because of the walled courtyard.

Squirrel: Thanks!! No..boring it never is!! Had a quiet day...caught up on some chores. Mike is going to make dinner for me.

Stephanie: hmmmm...I bet you all don't get javelina in Flag do you? I think they are warmer weather critters!! No Willy...they aren't tasty.

Amy: thanks....started out great but she popped up a little early; I think she is still settling into this dose.

I'm not too sure, to be honest. I think we do, but only rarely? I haven't seen any but if you drive 30min in any given direction you're back into more desserty sort of climate so I wouldn't say it's completely unlikely.

Come back down Gracie, you know you wanna!

and the chef says he is on his way, he has been perfecting a recipe for bananas foster....
