Good morning, LL ~O)
Ripley is doing great today, and she's close to joining the Clean Plate Club.

Sending good surgery vines to Rhiannon today, as well as good vetty vines to Gracie and Gussie (and appy vines to Mr. GusGus).
I hope Elian's leg feels better today.
Congratulations to Leo getting a new budder, Mako!

Thanks for the late night visit, Marje!

This morning was (hopefully) Ripley's last day of liquid Clavamox ~ switching to the pills today! She has 4 more weeks of AB to help her uti, then another test to make sure it's gone. I'm adding so much to her food each day to help with CKD, constipation, etc., I hope it isn't interfering with the effectiveness of the AB (or vice versa) ~ I should do some research today...

Last night we had a crazy thunderstorm ~ no wind, and the temp. was warm. The only one of our 3 indoor pets who wasn't afraid was the talented Miss Ripley. Even my big dog Marley was whining and trying to cower in my lap. (And he was collecting all of his toys and bringing them to his bed ~ we all know the more stuffed animals we have around us, the more protection we have  . Or maybe he was saving them from that mean thunder. He often saves them from the mean vacuum cleaner... ).

Re: 5/7 Ripley AMPS 111

Nice blue AMPS for Ripley and cheery report on her, too. Ripley, enjoy that rocker today! :-D
Thanks Josie on all the updates on kitties and Beans, as I missed some. I was catching up on condos earlier and read where it is a UTI for Ripley after all with the results. Did she have any symptoms? I wonder, too, with all I give Mags and hope nothing interferes with one another. Have a nice day, Josie.

Re: 5/7 Ripley AMPS 111

Hi guys .. what a great way to start the day! Too sweet on your dog bringing all his stuffed toys to bed for protection!! I'm guessing you'll be seeing green before too long .. have a great day guys!

Re: 5/7 Ripley AMPS 111

Hi Josie. Nice AMPS for the talented Ms. Ripely, maybe she has a trip to the Lagoon planned for today. Enjoyed reading about Marley saving his stuffed animals from the thunder. Gotta love these furry critters.

Have a great day Josie.

Re: 5/7 Ripley AMPS 111

Morning Josie ~O) ~O) ~O)

Wat a nice start for Ripley, love this morning, and yesterday.

Good luck with the clav. I hope the pills work better for Ripley. Bummer on the UTI, hope she gets over that one soon. I always wondered too on all the meds Mannie was taking, and how they all interacted, if at all. Vet said all was good to go, so I shouldn't worry. I still did though. It's cine that Ripley will take it all in her food. What a plus that is. Be better soon Ripley, 'K?

Too funny on Marley and savings his animals.  Well done big guy.

Have a great day today!

Re: 5/7 Ripley AMPS 111

Another beautiful day for Ripley! :-D :-D Soon those will be green smilies I bet.

Tess is prone to UTI too, but the pills of Clave were worse than the liquid. Finally she just couldn't keep it down and the vet switched her to Orbax, no vomiting and no appy problem. We're also giving her Cosequin (it also helps strengthen the bladder lining) and d-Mannose (Drs. Foster and Smith Cran-Health) which can help prevent bacteria from colonizing.

Re: 5/7 Ripley AMPS 111

Good luck with the pill form of Clavamox. I hope it clears up Ripley's UTI. So cute with Marley bringing his stuffed animals to his bed during the storm.

Re: 5/7 Ripley AMPS 111

Very nice start for Ripples today! Good luck with the meds switch. And how sweet of Marley to protect his furbabies from the storm!!

Today so far:
AMPS: 111
+9: 81
PMPS: 93

Good evening, LL!
Ripley is doing great tonight.
She just got her fluids, now she's finishing up her dinner.

I ran a few errands after work (mostly getting stuff for Ripples), and each one took much longer than I anticipated. I'm exhausted. I have a few more things to get for her, but luckily they're online orders. I should charge Ripley for gas. And meds. And fuds. And syringes........... Today I stopped by the vet to pick up R.'s new Clav. pills ~ one of the vet techs said that with the amount of money I spend there, I could take a trip to Hawaii. And that's supposed to make me feel better, HOW? :-x

Thank you for all of the visits today :-D .

Hi, Ann & Mags :-D Ripley didn't have any symptoms at all. I was very surprised at the high amount of bacteria that was found during her routine tests last week. I guess some UTIs are asymptomatic. I looked up drug interactions on Tanya's site ~ the only one I found was AB w/ Slippery Elm Bark, so I have adjusted the SEB dose times accordingly. I'm sure R. enjoyed hours of dream time on her rocker :-D .

Hi, Melissa :-D Not quite the end of Clav. ~ just the end of the liquid and the start of Clav. pills ~ at least 4 more weeks left of treatment. Hopefully this next month will knock out the UTI!

Hi, Devon :-D My dog's a big, sensitive baby  . I wish I had taken some pics. You were right about the green!

Hi, John :-D Marley's babies are very important to him ~ he brings them to bed each night; last night they were put to bed early due to the storm  .

Hi, Michelle :-D Yes, we are lucky that Ripley's meds and vitamins can be added to her food. Makes her a happy kitty, not having to be pilled (and me a happy bean!). Thank goodness for my pill-crusher!

Hi, Ann & Tess :-D Ripley didn't mind the liquid Clav. ~ I hope she tolerates it in pill form. Luckily we haven't seen any adverse reactions to any of her meds... (anti-jinx). I looked up the d-Mannose ~ unfortunately, R. can't take it due to her kidney issues. (But I've taken something similar, and it has worked wonders on me! )

Hi, Carla :-D Thanks for the luck ~ fingers and paws crossed here, to, that the uti will clear up.

Hi, Amy :-D Thanks for the visit today! Our big dog has a big heart ~ even saves his little furbabies from evil storms!

Re: 5/7 Ripley PMPS 93

Lovely start for Miss Ripley tonight.  I hope the big mean storms stay away tonight so the toys remains safe.

I think between two cats in the last two weeks at the vet I've bought myself a trip to Hawaii too.

Hi, Wendy :-D No storm tonight, so all stuffed animals are safe  Our kitties are sooooo lucky to have us as beans. Even if we are untanned and do not smell like hibiscus flowers.

Wow on the +3.5 ~ I'm gonna test sooner than later...

And she continues to look great! Glad you got the pills instead of the liquid....I hope she does as well as Gracie on the long course of a/Bs.

Poor Ripples

Glad there aren't more storms tonight.
