5/7 Marley AMPS 390, +7 80, +9 222, PMPS 219, +3 159, +4 80, +5 86

He went to sleep after +1 snack. He's just got up now at +8

He's just eaten +2 and +3 snack and gone out into the sun and off.

So he ate at +2 and +3? Or he ate only now after +1? If it's the latter, he probably kept dropping without food. If he has eaten now, he should be okay since it's late in the cycle.

Thanks you very much for responding.

He's only just eaten +2 and +3 just now.

I want to know what would happen when I am not here, so I leave him to do what he would do as opposed to taking the food to him so then I can do my best to make him safe when I am not here by having people here at the right time.

Ive set his +4 snack to be available to him an hour after the last but of food he ate. Do you think that was unnecessary or might as well?

That's fine. Though it's okay even if he doesn't get food. Will the autofeeder close or rotate to an empty slot if he doesn't eat the food at +9?

I'm home now. He hadn't eaten the extra feed so I took the option away. (He was still outside.

Thought it would be interesting to test though so I did +9 222 (The feeder was set a bit earlier than +9)

That is quite a climb.

The way I set it up, it wouldnt but I guess I could have set another time on the feeder so it circled again leaving an empty one. So I could have done that. Would that have been a good idea?

My worry with that though is that Marley associates that sound with food. If he bothers to get up and go to the feeder and there is no food it might discourage him from using the sound as a data point that he can go and eat. Having said that, when he's hungry, he'd likely want to check anyway, and when he's not he doesnt bother. And also anyway its only going to be the odd time this sort of thing happens.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Good to know another time I dont need to do that.
