Thought I would start this condo today to share a few pics I'd thought you guys would get a kick out of ..

We made it to the Falls on Thursday and had a wonderful trip there .. Mom said the kitties did fine, though she could hear mocha the minute she walked in the house all the way till she locked the door shut again! That's my girl! She tested beautifully this morning at 73 and all seems to be forgiven with us .. whew!

We took a nice 4X6 photo of mocha with us and found a monument that will probably stand where it is forever .. it's several blocks tall, and in between one layer the caulk has worn down over there years and we were able to slip her photo right in there .. She is now forever at the falls! :-D Peter actually slipped it through .. I was all brave to do it at first, then I started panicking and had visions of me being thrown in jail :lol:

We also wrote on a rock her name and her OTJ date .. seems to be a popular place for visitors to write their name and any special words .. we thought it was fitting for her name to be there, with a photo of the falls in the background ..

Glad to have gone, glad to be back home!

Prayers being sent to those who need them, kitties or beans ...

Oh, I love this! Mocha at the falls! What a great photo of her name on the rocks with the falls in the background. That is wonderful!

LOL at talkative Mocha! :lol:
 
Welcome Home Devon! So glad you and Peter had a wonderful time. How neat to slip Mocha's photo in there at the perfect spot and to write her name and date OTJ on the rock, so fitting with the Falls and you and DH's special place. Kitties had a great time visiting Mocha while you Beans were away! :-D So glad all is well with Mocha. Glad to have you home again, too.
 
What a great idea! And even better, the only people besides you and Peter who will know the significance of "OTJ" are beans from here.
 
Welcome home Devon & Peter!!! That is such a great idea. What a wonderful tribute to your sweet girl. Glad you had a great time. I bet the kids are glad you are back home.

The kitties had a great time at Mocha's house party. Hope the place wasn't too much of a mess! :lol:
 
Welcome home and what a wonderful story! That's really cool that Mocha's name and OTJ date is "etched" in stone at the falls! I'm smiling thinking about it!
 
That is so exciting!!! i LOVE it! You guys had a wonderful idea and carried it out! and now Mocha will forever be remembered at the Falls...YAY! How special is THAT?! Is she impressed with the story and the pictures too?
So glad you had a good time and that Mocha was fine when you got back.....great number Mocha! :mrgreen:
 
Thanks everyone! So glad you all like the photos! The name on the rock was a last minute idea .. so we had to hunt down a marker .. It sure would be nice if EVERY souvenir shop on EVERY corner would carry them .. but no .. they made sure to sell them in the farthest store from the falls .. which we found out .. on foot .. :lol: We told mocha what we did for her, but she didn't really seem to care .. she was more worried about what we could have possibly brought home in our bags .. which turned out to be regular old clothing .. nothing special!
 
heehee you didn't smuggle any mice souvenirs back for her? poor mistreated mocha! :lol:

what a great idea! i love seeing her name there - it's like insider information - and we're on the inside! ;-) :-D is her picture in that monument by the crosswalk?
 
Yes Julie, it's right in that monument .. each one of those blocks is caulked onto the one below it, and about halfway up the caulk has broken down so we were able to slide her picture right in there .. the gap was no bigger then the thickness of the photo .. it was meant to be! :-D
 
Oh, I just love the whole thing! I wonder how many people will wrack their brains trying to figure out what it's about? Wouldn't it be funny if the same people saw Mocha at both places trying to figure the code out? :lol:

Mocha is definitely at the falls forever now!

Hi Guys. Just posting an update on Rocket. Claudia and Rocket need your prayers. She posted on the Lantus Land facebook page:

Rocket really needs your prayers....went to work and he ate (he seemed fine), got back from work and he could barely move. He ate nothing all day. PMPS 297...didn't want to eat. Syringe fed him baby food to give insulin and meds. LB use is fine. Could he be lethargic from not eating in 10 hrs?
