Hi LL, RECALL ALERT - I just found this on my email and thought it may be important enough to put here. If anyone wants to copy and paste it someplace else please feel free. I don't think it applies to many of our kitties, most looks like dry food, but I think it would be good to check it out anyway to make sure, and also it may affect dog food.

Daphne has a lower then her usual AMPS today. I see this a lot when I can't sleep and I stay awake doing things like reading the newspaper near her. At first I thought it could be snack related, but I didn't give her anything except her +6 nighttime snack. I now wonder if its because I'm close to her and gives her a calming effect. Ever since she had the neuropathy (only for a short time, doesn't have it now), she doesn't come upstairs to sleep with us. So I wonder if that's the issue. I tried carrying her up the stairs, but she wants to come right back down, (I'm sure she knows she can't make the steps on her own).

Sending healing vines to all the kitties and beans who need them.

Nice blues for your sweet Daphne. Thanks for the info on the Recall. I just heard about it on the early news. I just noticed there is Wellness on the list. I'll take a good link at the link. Have a nice day, Barb.

ETA: The Wellness is a dry dog food by "WellPet." It's confusing as it then has a picture of the bag naming the food Wellness.

Her legs or feet may still feel a little numb or hurt a little so maybe she doesnt want to climb the stairs?
Cats are smart..they know their limitations.--Great numbers today!! We dont use any of those foods!

Nice AMPS! :-D :-D Thanks for the notice on the foods. Amazing that one plant makes nearly all the dry food brands!

Tess doesn't sleep w/ us any more either. She can still jump up, but just doesn't want to stay there at night. WE are supposed to come into the living room w/ her! :roll:

Look at that AMPS! You could be on to something...Daphne likes having you close by and that helps keep her numbers down!

Thanks for the recall info. I'd heard about the Wellness yesterday, but I can't believe how many other foods are included! It doesn't affect us, but I posted it on FaceBook to alert any drooler owners...

It sounds like the recall really doesn't effect our kitties much since we give wet, and it looks like most of it is dry. I also could not believe how many foods the one plant makes.

Yes, I do miss having Daphne with us when we sleep, she would purr out in the hall and you could hear her all night. She didn't always want to sleep on our bed, but liked to have her own bed at the door, kind of like a watch dog, so to keep all the intruders out. :lol:

Today, that 84 was interesting. I forgot to pick up her food at +10 and +11, and there was about a tsp. of food in her dish and she ate it. So she came down, not up from the +10 of 114. Could be her pancreas is working, (anti-jinx), fingers and paws crossed.

Have a good night LL, I'm in a bit of pain from our weather, AGAIN! (I don't want to complain, we need the rain).
 
It is certainly possible that Daphne's pancreas is kicking in. You do understand that if your theory is correct, Daphne is going to expect you to change where you sleep. (Dogs have masters. Cats have servants.)
 
Sienne, I can only admite this here on LL. I do sleep on the floor a lot with Daphne, especially when I know her numbers are scary, or there's a thunder storm, or she just looks depressed, or :lol: :lol: :lol: So glad DH sleeps sound, and goes to bed way earlier then I do, so he never notices me not in bed :cool: :lol:
 
Daphne was all teal today wasn't she? Very pretty colors on her. They look good with her color fur.

I didn't know all those brands were involved either. I'll look it over. I must have missed it on the news. Wellness never made a recall of those bad cans I had, just refunded my money right away. I wonder how many people called about them.

Daphne doesn't sleep with you anymore either because of that neuropathy, huh? I was just talking about how much I missed Racci sleeping with me the other day. She still sleeps in the bedroom with me right by the bed in her bed but even if I pick her up she won't stay if she knows I'll be asleep and unable to put her down. There's just nothing like sleeping with those warm furry cuddly purring little bodies pushing themselves into & on top of you. :lol:

I wonder if she's bit more active at night when you're up with her and that helps with the numbers - all normal cat numbers today :-D Great work Daphne :mrgreen:
