Condo from yesterday

Bijoux feeling better today it seems as appetite is back. I gave her the probiotics in her food this morning and she's gagged a little here and there after her breakfast but hasn't vomited (yet) this morning. Also hasn't pooped so not sure if diarrhea still an issue at this point but monitoring. I haven't given her insulin today either as her BG was all over the place last night and is lowering right now. Going to call the vet later to see what they recommend and maybe a pancreatitis test?

She seems to be on the mend for sure! Now I just don't know what do to about picking back up her insulin. Haven't spoken to vet yet but her numbers are pretty stable and a lovely blue today so far.

It’s a tough one to answer. She’s close to normal numbers today. I’m not sure she’s ready for an OTJ trial but we have had cats go off insulin after a bout of pancreatitis. I’d be inclined to hold off insulin for now but your vet and others here may not agree. Going to tag a few to give input.

She doesn’t look ready to go off of insulin yet. Typically cats ready for a trial are all green. Bijou saw pink yesterday! There is a dose we call 0.1 units you might want to try next. The 49 you saw was from the 0.25 unit depot, perhaps combined with lack of food. Check out this post

Thank you! will read up. Have been hesitant to give her any as she's been all over the place while she's been sick. She's on the mend and will speak with her vet tomorrow. I agree the 0.1 dose may be the best (re)starting point for us tomorrow morning.
