TGIF Everyone,

Rusty is a bit high this morning. The shot at PMPS last night went in, but I noticed a drop of insulin on his skin after I pulled the syringe out. I don't think he got all of his insulin. Anyway, this morning's shot went OK (had to use 2 syringes because the first had bubble problems) and Rusty has enjoyed 2 sittings of breakfast and a good brushing/combing. We saw a little sunshine early this morning, but it has disappeared and who knows when it will return. At least it's not raining. 29 degrees this morning. Edward's father, an avid gardener, used to refer to the 4th, 5th, and 6th of May as the "Frost Kings", and it sure looks like he was right. Hopefully Rusty will get some time outdoors today.

Cellar is not improved. We are still hoping that the water will stop coming in so that what is there will recede. Haven't decided yet about whether or not to attempt our trip to NYC on Sunday. Lots of roads are still closed. Lake Champlain area is a total mess.

All for now. Sending healing vines and snowflakes to kitties and beans who can use them. Feel better!!

Boy, I hope you guys get a break soon! You both need that R&R trip to NYC. Don't overdo it!

Good morning guys ... rusty, come on down ok bud? I hope that the sun comes back out for you guys and that your cellar starts drying up soon .. 29 degrees the first week of may is a little to cool! Hopefully you can make you trip out to NYC .. have a great day guys!

Glad it's not raining, but brrrr...29 degrees is cold to us Cali wimps! I hope it's not a fur shot and some did go in I bet!

Hi Ella. I'm glad it's not still raining, and hope you get some consistent sunshine.
'Tis supposed to be all the way up into the 50's today. Ain't reached 50 yet. I left my favorite huge Pothos out on the screen porch couple days ago. I don't want to see if it froze. *sigh*
So many cool weather crops that should be growing now, can't even be planted. We never could plant before Memorial Day, here in the southern area of NY.

Oh, I do hope you can get to NY, Sunday :-D

Sorry to hear about the cellar, I sure hope things get sorted soon and great weather heads your way. Fingers crossed you'll get your NYC trip.

I can't wait for the day that Champ has an AMPS of 129 and I think it's high :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hi again, Everyone,
Been busy all day in the cellar and outside; going to the landfill, shopping, feeding my friend's cat, etc. Hope to get to more condos this evening. Rusty had an exciting morning. We took him outside and his neighbor, Shadow, was in our garden. Rusty didn't see him at first, but Shadow kept moving closer and closer to us. Finally Rusty saw him and the two of them "communed" at a distance of about 10 feet. Shadow wants to be friends, I think. Rusty was magisterial. He made his very subdued noises and then turned around and strolled off for a while. Shadow followed and they spent more time just watching each other. Then Shadow went home.

The cellar is about the same, but I haven't been down there all afternoon. I shall look after dinner. It was really nice to see the sun today!!!!! We bought a new dehumidifier for use when the flood subsides.

Thanks for looking in on us. If we think we can go to NYC, we'll leave on Sunday.

Good evening, guys! Glad to hear that you have no rain today... fingers and paws crossed the cellar dries up soon and you are able to head to NYC (and make it back!!!). Loved reading about Rusty's unexpected play date... too cute!!

Hope you're able to get in some relaxation this evening!!

Hi Ella - so sorry I am so late in visiting you. I keep hoping to read that the cellar is improving, I am sorry that it is not. It has to be extremely disheartening. And the towns there....I am sorry. do you remember the north cascades highway here? They usually reopen it after cleaning all the snow around 5/1. I had an update come in today that they expect it to be 5/30 this year - a whole month late. way too much snow, and it keeps coming.... it was glad to read that you had sun today - maybe it will lighten the spirits some.

I think that Rusty may have a kitty friend... that is great. Maybe they will end up getting along. :-D Mannie has had a couple of those over the years. Some he takes a liking too, others you would think that WWIII broke out....

Hi Ella hope the cellar stops flooding that must be very frustrating years ago we lived in a home that the basement would flood on occasion and it was such a terrible ordeal so hope sunny weather comes your way soon we have had a lot of flooding here in Ky but at least we live in a area that is not affected. Nice numbers for Rusty tonight and hope you are able to make your road trip this weekend ;-)
