Good Morning LL! This morning I will serenade you with the Don Ho classic, Tiny Bubbles...

Still having trouble with bubbles. Not feeling like I am getting an accurate measurement of 3.75u because there is a big frickin' bubble at the top of my syringe that will not leave. I did not have any trouble with bubbles when using the vial, but with this new Solstar pen, it's like Lawrence Welk inside that syringe. Ok, enough about the dang bubbles!

Guinness seems to be doing well this am. Meowing for food, but relatively acting normal. Finally convinced him to pee while I was hovering and he tested negative for ketones yesterday. So, at this point, what more can I ask for.

Here's a link to yesterday's condo...lot's of discussion about bubbles, syringes and cats:

Good Morning Linda!

Those damn bubbles!! I thought I was the only one!! I always knew my .75 were never accurate because of this and that is with the vial! I'm getting my solostar pens in the mail within the next week so now you've given me something else to look forward to!

Nice numbers Guinness!

Re: 5/6 Guinness AMPS 351

I get the bubbles as well with the vial. Guinness and Tarragon seem to be having way too much fun in the pink. I hope he starts to come down for you. Negative ketones is a great thing, so that is a step in the right direction.

Good morning guys .. sorry to hear you are having so many problems with the bubbles .. that can be very annoying, especially if they continue to give numbers like +2.5 .. Hope you can figure something out .. have a great day guys!

Re: 5/6 Guinness AMPS 351|+2.5 400

Hi Linda, how frustrating!!! Because I would get a big bubble sometimes when I use the vial, I just draw an extra 0.5u into the syringe and then tap the hell out of the side of the syringe to make the bubble get as close to the tippytop as possible and then twist the plunger slowly to the amount I want to inject. I've never had the bubble stay in the syringe using that method. Of course, you've probably tried that already, hence, the frustration!!

And I've decided that red is a really pucky color. just sayin.

Oh Linda, I just popped in and saw that Guinnes is back from the honeymoon. I'm sorry, and now you're making me nervous. Our boys were classmates and graduated together. Beethoven is still OTJ, but I see that Marco is back for a light tune-up and Jesse is back too. I think I'll post an old-timer update tomorrow, but I just wanted to say I hope you are able to get Guinness back to the falls. We miss him there.

Ruth

Thank you for popping in and visiting us Ruth. I know it's scary to see so many cats back from OTJ, I'm still not sure what brought him back..we were doing everything right, but he was also quite the little bread and food stealer while at the falls. We've gone through all the tests and haven't found anything definitive that would have brought him back. He's had a dental, senior panel, even a thyroid test and ultrasound of his heart and abdomen. The only thing they found was a slightly inflamed pancreas, but didn't feel it needed treatment at this time (although, I'm slowly switching him to raw just for the heck of it).

I've been wondering how you guys and Moon have been doing since we all went OTJ together. I'm so glad you came by. I will keep a good thought for Beethoven. Tell him to keep a nice scenic view spot at the falls open for us, because we are coming back!!!

Came home from work to find Guinness's automatic feeder about 5 feet from where I left it. It's a heavy feeder too...he must have been having a really hard time smelling that food waiting for 10:30am to arrive. Poor thing.
