Good Morning and Happy Full Flower Moon, Cinco de Mayo,

Rusty had a good night sleeping between his beans. We had a good test, shot, breakfast (half FF T&G, half Wellness turkey--so far the T&G has been eaten and the Wellness left for "later"). Rusty is on his little bed by the radiator. It's 45 degrees this morning, so I put the heat on for him, but just for a little while. Cloudy with some fog this morning, maybe some sun this afternoon.

Today we might get in a short paddle (if the weather improves) and we'll be getting stuff ready for our trip to NYC tomorrow. No opera this time, and only 1 doctor's appt. (the other was cancelled, so I have to go back next month). The rest of the week we'll be working in the libraries and seeing old friends. On Thurs. I will go on a bike trip with my NYC group; don't know yet what the destination will be, but these trips are always fun.

Hey Kitties: It's here--the Full Flower Moon Party! Raja and Shadow are the hosts and we'll be going to Florida, where there are lots of flowers. We'll sing and dance by the light of the super moon. We'll hope to see all of our GAs on the other side of the veil, and they will be partying, too. The party will go on all night and meld into Moonie's birthday party (sweet 16, what a gal!). Then, tomorrow evening (Sunday, May 6th, Moonie's birthday), we'll continue the birthday party in NYC. I can't wait! I'll be in NYC all week, so all kitties are invited to visit me. We can go to Central Park to eat hotdogs from the carts and watch the tourists, we can fish in the East River, we can go to the beach, we can go to the Metropolitan Museum and watch the tourists some more, we can ride on the Staten Island Ferry, we can visit the great cats that guard the Public Library (Patience and Fortitude). Get ready for a fun week.

If you look at the Moon at 7:43 pm tonite(est) that the Moon will appear the biggest ever, as Moon is at epogee- closest to the earth till 2029!!!So all easterners should take a look! We know the Kitties will be enjoying it!!-Dont know the times for the rest of our friends all over the world, but hope you see this!!

My Birfday Dress is blue & Green and sparkly-Cant wait to nite in Florida for all the dancing & singing, seeing the GA's and celebratng the Moon wif all our friends!! Cinco de Mayo tonite too!! I hope the weather gets better today so that you can get in your paddle. What a great way to spend a Sunday. Wow - a whole week in NYC? what fun - Mannie has been packing since yesterday.... :lol:

Rusty!! DUDE!! Pinky is coming to the parties! That is so cool. I gots everything ready for The Full Moon Party at Raja's and Shadow's. I am so excited to be going there - this is way cool. It sounds like a nice day for Rusty. I hope the weather holds so you can get in a paddle. It sounds like a great time in NYC for you and Edward. Nice blue there for Rusty this morning.

Rusty, sounds like so much fun this weekend. Can't wait for the party at Raja and Shadow, then Moonie's birthday and NYC, whew, I'm ready! Mags

Hi Ella and Rusty! Nice to see Rusty back in his nice green numbers again. And another trip to NYC? I'll have to let Leo know. Brrrrrr it sounds awfully cold down there, Rusty has the right idea sitting on top of the radiator.

Hey Rusty, i made some mouse stew for the party tonight but i ended up eating it all. I'll go see if i can rustle up some more for the party. See ya there!

I'm all ready too! All sorts of desserts in the shape of flowers! And Rusty, we gots to bake Moonie's birthday cake. She was going to make her OWN! :o We gots to do it for her! And sing special songs for her too! She deserves it! -- Tess

Hi again,
It looks like the new cartridge is packing a punch. I think I'll take Rusty's dose down a notch tonight (to 1.5 from a skinny 1.75) and again tomorrow morning. Especially since tomorrow is a car trip: he will vomit his breakfast, and he won't want to eat again until we get to the city.

Never did get out in our canoes. Edward wasn't in the mood to paddle. So I went out on my bike for a short ride and then did some yard work. Shadow visited Rusty and the two of them had their standoffs. Rusty was out for about an hour this afternoon. He got a little exercise. Good thing, too. Despite not eating a whole lot, he managed to gain 1.5 oz. He's up to 17 lbs, 2 oz.!! :shock: I wonder what the calorie content of FF T&G is? I finally heard back from By Nature, who says that the % of carbs in all of their canned cat food is 1% (But the other percentages they gave me for protein and fat were the same as what is on the can label--i.e., not "as fed"--, so I'm not sure if the 1% carbs is correct. It's got to be pretty low, however, if one is to judge from the ingredients.)

Off to watch the Kentucky Derby. bbl,

Way to go buddy:)

Perhaps Edward will be in the mood to paddle tomorrow:) We almost went for a paddle today but the winds picked up and I didn't feel like having to portage the canoe home:)

Ni Ni all. The kitties are partying. The beans are turning in after seeing the ENORMOUS Full Flower Moon. Wow, it was just gigantic at around 9 this evening (when it rose above the trees), Now, at 11:30 it isn't quite as big because it is further from the horizon, but it is super bright.

I'm not sure I'll be able to post tomorrow until after we arrive in NYC (and I will have my iPad, not my laptop, so bear with me). See you all then.

Thanks Pat, Shad-0, and Raja for hosting the Full Flower Moon party. Thanks Chef Mannie for the great menus. I know that because the moon is so bright the veil will be super transparent and all our kitties and all our GA kitties will be able to communicate through it. Partying on both sides.
