I'm hoping Racci can make 3 days in a row of blues and greens only. It would sure be nice. :razz: She's been very alert and awake this morning and we were going to play with the cat dancer and then see if she'd have something to eat. She had 2 breakfasts but usually has 3. I may let her wait till I test her at +3 or 4 now tho since she got tired of waiting for me to finish doing chores and went to sleep on her turbo scratcher.

I finally transferred her haircut pics to my computer. Now I have to resize some for the online album and link a before and after for you all to see. None of them are really good yet> I still haven't gotten a good opportunity to get her standing up so you could really see the difference but got a good mane picture and fat naked belly side picture. :lol: Poor Racci has had a hanging belly ever since her spay went bad and the stitches came out even though she wasn't fat then. I love her and think she's beautiful anyway. With all the fur you can't see it usually . It makes me so mad when I think about it though. My poor innocent baby going thu that. I felt so guilty for bringing her to that vet. I know its silly but couldn't help it. She was only a few months old and the stitches infected and came loose. It was terrible. Well, it was a long time ago now..

Hi, guys!!!

I wish like heck that I had scored a picture of Binks after his ultrasound cpl years ago.
He has that signature Manx coat with the longer tabby colored guard hairs and the soft creamy under hairs.
When they shaved him for the ultrasound, the tech had quite the sense of humor, and artfully trimmed him down to
the long hairs on his back legs, so he looked like he was wearing a little hula skirt!
Was cute as the devil, but I never got a pic.
I might have to shave him again just for the laugh :lol: :lol:

Hey Celi, that sounds adorable! I wish you had a picture! I can just picture it in my mind. :lol:

What they did with Racci this time is left her paws, tail and just shortened the top, upper layer of sides and chest, and took off the lower layer of sides bottom of chest and stomach, butt areas so she looks almost like nothing is missing when standing up, just like she has shorter hair than she does. :lol: When she lays on her side though you can see that the sides actually stop pretty high up, it's just that her fur's so thick that it's an optical illusion. Her mane is about half its size also. A different person cut her this time. Usually she gets more of a lion cut and it's really easy to keep the hair mat free for a while. This cut isn't helping me much. I wouldn't be surprised if Racci has some Maine coon in her with all her layers of fur and her size. :mrgreen:

Look at those numbers today!!! Beautiful!! She is doing great!!
BTW~~~ Listen My DS & DBIL told me they gained weight, & I said we did too--So tomorrow, we are just going to be looking at each others heads :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: No Body shots :lol: :lol: :lol: --Just Look at Racci the same way--She is Beautiful with or without her fur!!

Racci really is a gorgeous kitty. I always love her colors. Daphne had a lion cut about two years ago, she was so badly matted. The last time though, the groomer said she could comb her out, I didn't think she could, Daphne never lets me touch her from the waist down. But she did, and she looked so pretty, but now, I think she needs some help on her back end, but I a putting it off because I don't want her to stress out and have her BG go up. I have pictures of her when she had the lion cut, I'll have to find them. They are not very flattering though.

So sorry to hear about that bad spay, poor baby. We never know really how a vet is going to be. I've had about 10 different ones through out my pets lives, and I'm still not happy, except for the last one, she was a traveling vet, and I was impressed, but she didn't really do much. I just needed refills for Daphne.

No, mommy didn't forget. You just posted faster than she did. :lol: Mommy's so slow! I got 2 greenies! How does Vyktor like not getting stabbed all the time now? He must feel strange in a happy sort of way. Say Hi for me.
Really tho, what are you doing with all your time? No need to worry, no rushing home, saving all that money, Not having to stop what you're doing every day. Does Vyktor come looking for you at those times?

How nice that they're coming over for the big celebration tomorrow! I love the head shot idea. :lol: Racci has nothing to fear. I look at that precious little face and melt no matter what her fur looks like or her little pot belly. She's always beautiful to me. She's such a cuddly little sweetheart.
Her greens have been high the past few days but that's okay with me since I brought her dose down a teeny bit so she's actually getting the 3.25u now like she was supposed to be. Now I hope she doesn't screw things up by demanding more of the Core like she has been the past couple of days. I have to find something else she'll love that's mc.

Thank you. I know what you mean about the lion cut not being flattering. If they're not in really good shape it shows everything. :lol: I bet Daphne looked cute though. She's really a beautiful cat also. If you find the picture I'd love to see it. I don't have one of Racci's lion cut. I wish I did. She looked cute but of course it showed her saggy belly. :mrgreen: They were pretty much able to brush Racci out this time too which really amazed me. I was surprised they took the whole belly off since she only had a couple of tangles there when they were able to brush worse places out. I've been putting Racci's cut off for the same reason and also I didn't want her naked belly on the cold wood floors in the winter but finally it just got to be too much when she was crying in her sleep and I couldn't figure it out. I had to see if the mats were bothering her or if something else was up or what. There were only a few that were bad but still she's not crying in her sleep now so it might have been what was bothering her or her claws could have been because I had that done too.

It was really a bad experience for me and her mom, Calli, even more so than Racci. I don't think Racci remembers she was so young, but her mom hated vets from then on. Then he topped it off by holding her up by the scruff of her neck and spraying this antiseptic on her tummy and it was ice cold. Racci, Calli and I all screamed at him at the same time! :lol: It must have been hysterical to watch, like the three stooges. I grabbed her out of his arms. I was so mad at the way he handled her! I've had a lot of vets too. It's not easy to find a good one that cares and isn't out just to rip you off and is talented.

I better run. It's almost medicine/food time. Thanks you all for coming to visit me and Racci. We love having company. Makes me feel like I'm not talking to myself, YKWIM? :lol:

This is Racci's first green PMPS! Its a high one so I shot her normal dose. She's been surfing the green 90's most of the day! I think I'm going to have to stay up tonight. Is anyone going to be up tonight to keep me company? I have shot low 100's before. She ate hc mixed with lc but loaded with hc like I usually do when she's low at night.

wahoo on a green preshot! i'm up for another hour or so, but that's not likely to be late enough to be much help to you.

usually, though, when you shoot a green number it doesn't go all that low. you don't need to carb her yet, although maybe before you go to bed is a good plan.

Hi Julie,

I figure she'll start goingg down about +3 & keep going down until about +7 so those are the hardest hours and the ones I'll probably be most tired and achey. Wouldn't you know it? :mrgreen: I'm not feeling too badly tonight though so hopefully I can do it.
