Looks to me like he recovered from the fur shot nicely (It's entirely possible it was just a partial shot). He might have just gone lower today and is having a little bit of a bounce. Or he is being a cat.

It was wishful thinking about having some insulin get in the other night, but I watched my pet sitter and the needle wasn’t even in him.....but that’s okay as we’ve all done it before and part of learning. Davidson has always recovered nicely from bounces, so at least he’s kept that trait from four he’s ago, lol...... now, if he’d start to really drop his number that would be nice, but not yet.

I guess I should update his SS and thread title as I did a +1.5 to see how he dropped as he needed round 2 food (1/4 can) as Harley was hungry so got in a test....he was 74 and dropped in half....

Davidson just hit his lowest BG yet - 51. I'd have liked to see if he'd drop more but the poor guy was starving so I gave him 1/4 can...........he had an active play day today and watched the birds running from window to window, so built up an appetite. Not that he needs an excuse for that, but I do keep him on "rations"..........I'll test him at +4 and 5 (maybe if I'm up) and see what the food spike does.

One recommendation for all you newbies is to always rub your hand over the area you inject the insulin so that you can feel if it's wet. I know I always get the shot in, but still do it as habit, as you never know that if the cat moves or something - good habit to have.
