Tarragon was a little restless last night. His tummy problems are back, 3 days after finishing his antibiotics. I am wondering if it is his food. He was fed Science Diet dry food until March, when he was switched over to canned completely. I have been boiling chicken breasts and liver on the weekends and giving him that as well as his canned food. When we switched him, we tried all kinds and the only one he didn't turn his nose up to was FF classic. I wonder if he needs something that is more raw meat based or for a sensitive stomach. Does anyone have a cat with a sensitive stomach? What are you feeding them? Does anyone have experience with the "natural" canned food?

Luckily, his civie sister will eat anything and not skip a beat, bless her heart. If only he had an ounce of her resiliency.

Hope you all have a great day

I wouldn't say Zoe has a sensitive stomach, but she is quite picky about her foods. I recently tried Blue Wilderness Duck with Zoe and she likes it a lot. It is high protein, low carb and her numbers look good. It surprised me when she liked it as she is a very picky kitty and will usually only eat FF low carb. She also seems to like Merrick Before Grain - not as much as the Blue Wilderness, but she will eat it. Hope that helps!

Good morning .. sunny yellow for tarragon .. sorry to hear his tummy troubles are back .. when mocha was a kitten she had tummy problems, but then we put her on a dry kibble for "sensitive systems" and everything cleared up .. Thankfully when we made the switch to wet there weren't any problems .. hope you get it figured out .. have a great day guys!

We use Wellness....love it and haven't had any kitties with tummy problems. It has no grain which is better for kitties. The ones with lower carbs are:
Chicken 4%
Beef and Chicken 4%
Turkey 4%
Chicken and Herring 6%
Turkey and Salmon 6%
Beef and Salmon 6%

Merrick also makes Before Grain and their foods are also low in carbs. The beef, turkey, chicken and quail, chicken, salmon, and tuna are all below 2% carbs.

Hope you get the food issue sorted out!!

Kitty DOES have a sensitive stomach, and I've found a big difference between foods - that is, some make him barf, some don't!

The FF Chicken now causes major barfing. The FF Turkey doesn't. Kitty doesn't like the Turkey so much, so I sprinkle liberally with chicken dust. But at least he doesn't throw up.

I have no idea what FF puts in the Chicken. It never used to make him barf before they changed the formula around a year ago.

We also tried the Wellness and Evo. He wouldn't eat Wellness, and the Evo led to barfing. It may have been the fat content.

I have also heard that organ meats (like liver) can be hard on the stomach.

so the moral is: whatever works, and it could be a big difference between flavors, even by the same brand.
