Good Morning LL!!!
And Happy Caturday to everyone!
In the wee hours of the morning I heard this rustling in the kitchen... thought for sure we had an intruder.... it seems however that Elsa had found Mannie's espresso machine and was busy trying to figure it out. The Manual was on the counter, ice cream containers wherever there was space, espresso beans scattered all over the floor... I snuck back the way I had come, and let her be. When I woke this morning I found this steaming cup of brew: a foamy cappuccino with what seems to be her signature floating on the top: A dollop of ice cream, cimmamum flavor.
now if we can just teach her how to make Mannie's 10 hour energy
we are good to go!
Thank you everyone who visited yesterday. I hope your day was as good as mine! Nicholas and I went swimming. Another day of water logged bodies, wrinkles prune fingers, and straw hair, and chlorine in our pores....   What fun it was. Another 2.5 hours of water fun. I don't think he missed one aspect of that pool, yet again. I am in awe still of his ability in, and love of, underwater. Silly kid can do maybe 10/15 feet before he pops up. Crazy stuff, but I love it. We went and walked a small trail system that is next to the pool after round one of lunch. He just had to be out there, looking for what he calls his jungle.   Jungle = a few areas under the tree canopies. Bear and he went tree climbing - well they tried too... Mega fun for us, and Bear. After that back for more lunch. NOM NOM NOM = peanut butter overloaded with jelly....   no dummie there! Nicholas kept telling me he didn't need a nap. oh sure.... crashed when we got home and it took an act of congress to get him up in time to go meet his dad. sheshhh! it was nice though to spend some time out just walking a trail system with him, even as small as that one is. Nicholas asked about Mannie yesterday. He was talking about all the pills Mannie took, and his kitty, and somehow it all wound up with "Mannie is gone?" There was this moment of sadness for him while he thought about it when I said yes he was. He really does miss his buddy. He then asked me "Mannie good?" I told him he was, and that brought a smile, followed by "Man-NIE is hap-PY!" Yes, little man, that he is.
Have a great day everyone! I hope maybe to go hiking today. We shall see, as the yard really needs some attention too.... Our weather is Fantastic: sun, blue skies, not one cloud, and warm! I wonder what will win out.... yard? hike? hmmmmm.....
And kitties? think BLUE, think GREEN!
