Hello LL Friends,

I'm back with Leo tonight, he missed me. I walked in the door to my parents and he started meowing and purring. He's limping tonight, apparently he came in with a giant mouse at around +10 and ate him up at his dish and my mom noticed he was limping. I checked him out and moved all his little joints around, when i got to his shoulder i got an irritated meow. So i'll keep an eye on it tonight and if its no better tomorrow i'll have to bring him in and get him some bupe for the pain. This happened last summer and the next day he was back to 100%. He probably jumped off something and landed funny, or the mousie fought back! :lol: I'll make sure he stays inside tonight and takes it easy on the hunting.

Its been mouse-a-pooloza this week, giant mousies being caught everyday sometime 2-3 times a day! :shock: His DGpa said he's been pretty cheeky, catching and eating his mice inside and then demanding FF afterwards.

Leo has been pretty much pink all week he's been with his grandbeans, i'm starting to wonder whether or not they are feeding him contraband. I even asked the question this week and got a "NO!" Either he's getting contraband or he just misses me so much his numbers are out of whack while i'm gone. Leo got a dose crease tonight to 7.25u. Still no word back from his acro test, just as i suspected. I imagine i'll get the results back next week sometime.

Leo just got his shot and ate his supper and is resting comfortably in his kitty bed.

I hope everyone had a great week and all the kitties are doing great!

It is an interesting trend for Leo. I bet it's because he misses you...he may be stressing out, thinking he's never going to see you again.

Giant mousies, 2 or 3 a day!! Leo, you are a prodigious hunter! Now, take care of your shoulder. Let the mousies be for a day or two!

Hi Tracy, I hope that you can get Leo's dose adjusted to accommodate all that extra mouse food! (with the FF as a dessert, even!!)
He's getting terrific exercise. He must be very fast to catch all those mice.

I'd think with all the low-carb mousies and exercise, his BGs would be lower. Maybe your parents have high-carb mousies at their place? :lol: :lol: Enjoy your days off, Tracy. Are you completely healed from the injury?

maybe the little mouse tummies are full of grains!

your vet has to "retrieve" the test results from MSU. have them call and then MSU will fax the results. it's crazy - took an extra week for ours to come the first time because of this goofy system.

hope our buddy leo's shoulder is all better by morning. i like the possibility of him arm-wrestling with the mousies. i hope once in a while the mouse wins! :lol:
 
Well Leo has been hangin out with me at DGP's, we had a nap on the couch together. He's eaten a few times and has come down nicely at his +4.5. I'm convinced he misses me when i'm gone, could it really have that much of an effect on his numbers? His little limp is still there, although when he really wants to he can run and jump like normal, like for instance, running to his dish when a snack gets put in there. :roll:
 
Welcome home! I bet Leo is so happy to see you home...he's even coming down.

Sending him sore muscle healing vines and hope the limp is gone tomorrow. Also hope you hear on the tests soon.
