Good Morning Lantus Land! Our weather is warm here and it seems to make everyone not sleep well. Guinness was up at 3am asking for food. Had to shoo him off for another hour and half. I could tell his number was probably high based on his insistence. Sometimes I think if he would just get some sleep, and not be looking for food all the time, it might bring his numbers down.

Going to Henry's today to get some more chicken for his testing treats...lucky cat. flip_cat

That's a nice fall. Hoping to get a new vial/pens of Lantus today or tomorrow. Been using mine for just a little over a month now and feeling like we need a change.

Good morning guys .. Glad to see that while guinness started out on the red floor he has made his way nicely down to the low pink numbers .. hope the fall continues for you .. new chicken treats and new insulin? What more could a kitty ask for, right? :-D Have a great day guys!

Well if Guinness was going to be up, why not wake everyone else up....right?

Just when I think he's not responding because maybe my insulin is too old...239, it's one of the lowest 200 numbers yet! Yipee. Still going to shoot for getting the Solstar pens in the next couple of days. He's still drinking a bit of water out of his water bowl today, but the weather is pretty warm here. Trying to get him to pee when I am around, need to check those ketones!

Linda, I have had the same thoughts about Gus. That if he would just relax and snooze, his #s might have a chance to get lower. I know that I'm always testing against a mild food spike. But, if these guys consistently eat, then that is their normal base and we factor their response to the insulin accordingly. These sugar babies have so many quirks and it's good to know there are other kitties who are quirky too. Have a great day.

Now that is a beautiful sight -------a 239!!! Let's hope he likes it on the low yellow floor! No Bouncing to the RED floor anymore, Guinness!

Interesting day. I plan to start a Lantus Solstar Pen tomorrow and see how that affects him. Good night Lantus.
