First of all, my thoughts are with Roni and Copper Boy today. Sending lots of hugs.
On a totally different note, I have to say that I am happy for Kushi's OTJ party. Looks like the Sugar Cat decided to heal very quickly, and all of it was made possible with Joe's help, so congratulations to both!
Billy looks fine today. I woke up extra early because DGF needed a ride to a press conference for her job. For some reason she had to get there before everyone else. When I came back I found Billy with half of his face being moist. I don't know what it was - water or drool or maybe both - but he was sitting next to a bag of catnip ripped open. ohmygod_smile The other furbabies are doing good and all three were hanging out in the lounge this morning, so that makes me happy.
His numbers got a bit higher yesterday night but I couldn't say why. I had been away all day long. (Aww, he's acting so crazy now. Catnip overdose, I guess. Back on topic: ) I didn't shoot because it has been forever since his last dose and I didn't know what dose to give him, if any. I couldn't test afterwards, so I figured I should wait for this morning's numbers.
It has been a while before since I made a topic. Life has been crazy and Billy have been doing well. There are some questions Patty asked that I couldn't answer right away, so here :
All I can say is that he was acting weird back then. He was drinking a lot more water and would mew for no reason, which isn't like him. He used to be pretty big - perhaps a 18 lbs? He lost about 3 lbs around then. He was dx in late July and got a 2u dose. Perhaps he had been sick for about a month before that. At the time I was struggling with his sister's disease so I probably didn't notice it as soon as I should have. After his Dx I did a lot of things wrong and I had no idea. When I found FDMB in March, Billy had severe diabetic neuropathy in his legs and was shot with ineffective insulin for God knows how long. He was also on the wrong diet.
Well, that's about it for today. Have a great one, LL!

Patty & Champ said:I don't know why I didn't realize sooner that Billy has such good numbers off insulin. Think maybe you could have Champ's twin let him know how to do it? Just out of curiosity, what were Billy's symptoms before he was diagnosed with DX? What was his weight pre-FD and what had he lost to when he was diagnosed? How long do you think he had FD before you took him to the vet? I'm just trying to get a comparison so I can try to relate it to Champ.
