I'm not sure what's up with Maggie, but she was talking and talking and not eating much, so last night after her shot, I fed her some HC mixed in with the LC just to make her eat. She did urinate and move bowels, but not much with how little she was eating. I think maybe a Vet visit will be upcoming. So I'm a zombie and have a long drive for an appointment, but thank goodness I don't need to leave until 9 am! I think I will need a double Espresso before the drive!

Good morning Ann

Is Maggie going in today?

I hope it's nothing and no icky UTI.
Other than that, keeping an eye when you can, on her LB action is good.
Have a good day!

Hi Ronnie,
How are you and Luna? I haven't made an appt. for today; maybe I will give it one more day! She just ate some Chopped Grill Sophisticat after her morning shot, so that's a better start!

We's ok! Luna got his ear poked yesterday (I've been slacking  ), he gave me a 79 so that was good!

I'll be back later to see what happens for PMPS for Maggie.
Good to hear she is eating better!

HI Ann and Maggie, missed you this morning since I posted later and have been running around all day! Hope Maggie is doing ok, since her numbers are a little higher maybe she does have a uti? Hope not! The feeder seems to be working well here, I haven't left them alone with it yet but I am "training" them to get used to the sound. Have a great day! Hugs to Maggie!

Hi Ann,
Sorry I never stopped by to answer the questions you asked in my condo the other day.
Considering the lack of eating, its probably wise to get Maggie in asap. Can you go tomorrow? It could be a UTI. It could be constipation. Is she drinking much water? Can you get her to drink some juice tonight?

If they suspect a UTI, you want a urinalysis, culture, AND sensitivity. Make sure they take out the urine via needle (forget the technical term) rather than a pee sample.

Another tip...dont let the vet squeeze Maggies abdomen BEFORE getting the sample! It never fails that they pee and then you cant get the sample because their bladder is empty. I ALWAYS remind the vet about this. I forgot last weekend and sure enough...we lost the sample.

I hope you can get her in and everything will be okay.

Thanks Carolyn for all the helpful information, Yes, I have an appt. tomorrow morning at 10 am. It's not her usual Vet, but that's okay, as the Vets in this clinic all work together. I can get her to drink the juice from the wet Sophisticat and FF canned foods. I tried giving her some Purina DM dry (the one from the Vet), but she vomited it up whereas she normally loves it, as she misses her dry HC. I think I can get her to eat some chunks from the HC FF. She's not as peppy as usual either, so something definitey has gone awry with her. I remember last time they do use the needle aspiration to get a urine sample. she could be constipated, too, as there's very little BM in the box, but then she's not eating much either, I think she may have also lost some weight.

How is Latte? I will stop by your condo.
